I quit my second playthrough of Twilight Princess in the last chapter, Hyrule Castle. I've reached that point again now, almost ten years later, with my third playthrough, and I'm not very motivated to finish it this time either. Right now, I'd rather collect heart pieces.

The story just doesn't do it for me. I think it would've been better without Ganondorf. He's kinda just tossed in at the end. Zant should have been the main villain.

Edit: I didn't know this game had a great fairy. She's hot too. Two heart containers to go.
agreed that tossing Ganondorf in was pretty lame. they really should have kept Zant as the main villain but to be fair, the Twilight Princess Ganondorf final boss battle is probably the best Zelda Final Boss i've personally played and it ranks up there as one of my favourite boss battles from Nintendo in recent years in general.

Twilight Princess is pretty boring but it has a great final boss fight.

CIV IV, V and VI, love founding a new empire, hate the grind of managing my world spanning empire. Did just finish a VI campaign though, it's much more interesting when your empire gets big!

Any Dark Souls game, I just get to some boss and can't be bothered.

Dying light: enbiggened edition. So much to do. And since restarting it on hard difficulty to get a dose of actual fear injected into my earballs (also because I forgot most of the move set slowly drip fed throughout the first unfinished play), it has been more necessary than ever to do as many side quests as possible to help with not dying and losing precious exp. Then there's the new town, paradoxically called the old town...and the dlc farm area to complete. I've deleted and redownloaded it about 4 times now, the bastard thing.

Fallout. Skyrim. Witcher. Every 4X game I try to play. Hell, right now I've got a 2 day Stellaris match going where I'm just rolling on people and I simultaneously want to finish it in order to justify the two long days of playing but I also really just want it to stop. 4X games are empty calories for me.
Yeah I'll never finish a game of stellaris, super fun early game but the mindless expansion and warring of later part is just boring.

Mine is ring of red, a PS2 tactics game a bit like fire emblem but with mech. It's fun but battle takes forever (1+ hour) and most mechanic are stressing (when you try and attack enemy your hit % slowly increase and you have to choose when to fire).

I know you don't technically "finish" this game, but Cities: Skylines.

I love the idea of a city builder. And honestly my first few hours of playing are quite fun. However, I can't wrap my head around roads and traffic. I almost always end up with poor traffic management, and I don't understand the bus route system either.

Also Metal Gear Solid 5. I've restarted this game about five times now, and I barely make it past the mission where you first rescue the child prisoners. I always get so far in the game and think "Wow...20 more hours of this and it will be for literally nothing."

Which is a shame, because I've never been so engaged with a stealth game before. Even the previous Metal Gear games (as much as I adore them)

Baten Kaitos: Origins. The first game is an artistic and beautiful jrpg with an interesting card based combat system that doubles as a crafting system (impressively in a time before crafting became a huge "thing" in video games.) But the prequel, just isn't as impressive. When I want a fix of jrpg and decide to go back to it... I either start Origins and get "out of the mood" quickly or I start the original Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean and play it instead.

As much as I highly recommend the original however, I always place this warning with a recommendation. If you can't get past bad voice acting... do not play either Baten Kaitos game.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines.

I did finish it once way back when it first released, but since then I probably re-install and play a good chunk of it a couple of times a year, but stop playing just before the last chapter.

I've just started a new play-through using the Clans mod, so maybe this time I'll get to the end.

I never have finished Fallout:New Vegas. It's a good game but something about it just saps my enthusiasm after awhile and I get distracted by other things. Then my 360 controller broke and I've been too lazy to see if it's backwards compatible on the ONE. Also I was playing the GOTY edition with all the dlc and I don't know if that would carry over. If not then forget it.

Haven't quite finished Fallout 4 yet either. Right in the middle of Nuka World. Distractions man.
