I'm looking for something to watch, and can't find any decent fantasy/adventure that is also live-action.

Please make recommendations.

I guess, Game of Thrones. But, that's pretty fucking mainstream, I guess.
Well, Xena? I don't know, Merlin? Shit, half of the live-action fantasy stuff is from the 90s' so you're probably going need to bring a trashcan because the crap you're going to see is some corny-ass shit.

Sorry to hear that, and however desperate you become do not watch 'Legend of The Seeker'.
Why? What's this Seeker show about and what makes it so awful?

I've heard Merlin's pretty good.

I'd second that. The fact is that there isn't much to choose from either.
Merlin is exactly the kind of show I'm looking for. Unfortunately, I've already seen it :(

I think that Legend of the Seeker is perfectly enjoyable if you take it for what it is. Don't expect deep lore, characters or storylines, good dialogue, good choreography or, well, good anything really... What was I saying again?

In all seriousness though, if you don't expect much and have nothing better to watch, there's nothing wrong with a bit of cheesy fantasy.

Supernatural?
Not sure if it can be called fantasy but it has monsters...
So not really sure what else there is out there that hasn't been mentioned. Most likely a lot, I just don't know any of them :/

Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell is quite good, albeit a miniseries rather than a series.
That looks pretty interesting, I might have to watch that one.

Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. Yeah, people have listed Xena, but I was always a Hercules fan. Cheesy, yeah, but it's part of the charm.

Game of Thrones: Yeah, bit standard, but I reccomend it.

Atlantis: If you like Merlin, you'll probably like this. Basically think Merlin, but with Greek instead of Arthurian mythology. I personally like Merlin more, but Atlantis is a lighthearted romp. Just don't expect too much depth.

A Shannara TV adaptation is coming up, but can't comment. Caught my attention though.

Hmm, like Merlin. Sounds good, but I hope it has a better ending.

Grimm apparently gets better after half a season or so of "monster of the week" episodic content. It wasn't really my thing so I stopped bothering, but maybe you'll like it more. Once Upon A Time isn't bad either, but I couldn't get into it much.

A fantasy show I haven't watched yet but looks fun as hell, is Galavant. Some people have described like a bit of a The Princess Bride musicial-ish deal. And y'know what? I'm down for that, as I thought The Princess Bride was hilarious.

If you're also ready for more sci-fi-fantasy ala The Twilight Zone, Fringe is a cool as hell watch.

I also have to defend Legend Of The Seeker a bit, especially the second season. It's dumb as hell and floats by on fanservice, but I've seen way worse. It's a bit of stupid fun and the character arcs of the second season were actually relatively original.

The book though, like, the book though. I'm still reading that one and will watch the show afterwards.
