For me, at least, it doesn't happen very often. Maybe because I'm older or have seen enough movies to desensitize me to any and all emotion, but there are a few prime and recent examples that had me bawling like a baby. One of them being the recent Pixar movie Up, and the other being the 2005 winner of Best Picture, Crash. There was one part in Crash that in which a torrent of emotion just poured over me out of nowhere and I had no choice, but to weep. Now that's something that has never happened in any movie that I have seen. So... what are some movies that you aren't afraid to admit that you cried in?

The Fountain. When he's tattooing the ring around his finger. I love that film.

He lost his wedding ring earlier in the film. After his wife dies of an unspecified terminal illness, he sits on their bed reading her unfinished novel. He cries uncontrollably before smashing the nightstand, scattering her pen and ink. That's when he notices the pale outline of his missing wedding band. He proceeds to use the pen and ink to tattoo a replacement ring around his finger. It's haunting.

Two that spring to mind are Pan's Labyrinth and Real Time.

Pan's Labyrinth always gets me at the end; it's both a sad and happy ending at the same time...

Real Time, the one time I watched I found myself bawling uncontrollably at the end. Damned good movie.

though I didn't actually cry, it did wet my eyes, and it was more of a bittersweet happiness tear then actual sadness.

*embarrassed* LOTR 3th movie the wedding thing. I don't know. I need to cry for something like once in a two years. It's something that you cannot replace with other things. Something that collects inside you. It's odd.

Not a movie and didn't make me outwardly cry, but I cried inwardly. It's easier to clean up.
Draw with me.

Three things I can think of that get me every single time.

It's funny, because I just referenced it in the last thread I posted in, but the end of Cronenberg's The Fly makes me stoically weep manly tears long after the credits roll.

I get misty and lumpy-throated right along with Snake at the end of MGS3.
[sup]And I will argue until the stars burn out that MGS3 is a movie.[/sup]

And in Fellowship of the Ring,
Watching the Hobbits completely break down outside Moria after Gandalf falls is absolutely heartwrenching.

the very end of Star Wars episode III.

the movie was crap really, but that ending scene was epic for me, seeing as how i grew up loving the hell out of Star Wars, and it was such an iconic image that represented years of love for the franchise.

Not that i bawled or anything, but it was very powerful for me, near tear inducing, but not quite.

I can't remember the name of it, but the movie that managed to make me cry the most was about a firefighter who was remembering all of his past times right before he died. I don't know why, but the very last scene of his life really does make me tear up.

Grave of the Fireflies had me choked up at points, and there's this one scene towards the end of Titanic that managed to tear down my wall of stoicism. You know, the one with the mom and her two kids... :(

I have no idea why but I almost cried at the end of Phone Booth when Colin Farrel is confessing to everyone. ALMOST.

And yeah Gladiator, again, almost, luckily my manly rage was enough to power through thgat without tears. God damn Commodus. HE CHEATED!!!

I Am Legend (because of the scene with Sam, and Will's character talking to that female mannequin because his "old friend" told him to). And 5 Centimeters Per Second for the overall sad story.

Ah, I forgot all about Up. It got me pretty teared up because of that awesome beginning.
