most of all death, oblivion, nothingness.

Its funny, this is a popular answer but the idea of oblivion is more comforting to me than an afterlife as oblivion keeps things relatively simple, you live then you die, sure I sometimes have a problem with the idea that someday it will all end but why fear something I can by definition never experience?
It's not as much oblivion as just not existing anymore, having your consciensce just being erased entirely.
I get that and I would be lying if I said the thought of dying didn't bother me but I kind of like the finality of it, I know what I have in store with oblivion, now the thought of an afterlife, that is scary.

I'm scared of deep water, shipwrecks, and large ocean-borne things (such as large ships, whales, ect.). So I'm pretty much scared shitless when I go to the seaside, which is weird considering I'm quite a strong swimmer.

Needles make me cringe as well. Ironically I donate plasma twice a week, and during one visit they jabbed me in the muscle in both arms cause they couldn't find my giant vein. This did not make me happy.

My most crippling one would have to be insects in general. This is more of a unhealthy amount of annoyance than a fear unless I do not recognize the insect. Any buzzing of an insect's wings irritates me to no end. I have had flys and mosquitoes keep me up all night on several occasions.

I'm glad to see that there are many others who hate bees and needles. I'm allergic to bees, so I'd say my fear of them is justified. But still, conceptually, they just freak me the hell out.

This article from cracked honestly makes me sick to my stomach: http://www.cracked.com/article_15816_the-5-most-horrifying-bugs-in-world.html

I hate being afraid of needles because I always want to donate blood so badly...I tried to give once, spent the whole day mentally preparing myself, and then the doctor who was examining me did not bother to tell me that the thing he was putting on my thumb contained a needle (I thought it was to check my blood pressure or something, silly me), and I had a panic attack. I haven't been able to bring myself to go back since.

But right now, I'm really, really, afraid of my senior year of high school, and where I'll be in a year. I'm afraid that my grades are gonna slip, that no theater school will take me, that I'll be overwhelmed by stress and have a nervous breakdown, ect. ect.

Wasps. I don't care if I'm addressing the leaders of the world in a tuxedo, if a wasp gets anywhere near me I will flail like a drowning man until that shit is gone.

I'm afraid of drowning. It's so bad that whenever I swim I never fully submerge my head in the water...I just hate the feeling.

And I'm semi-afraid of the dark. I used to be terrified of the dark and imagine all the monsters that hid in the shadows, but now I don't feel scared, just a little uncomfortable.

needles, being in a body of water and having something larger that I am swim under me, family/friend dying

I cant be in a room with strangers for more than 2 hours or I start panicking. That one actually appeared in Jan 07 after a medication mix up and I have been like that since. Where as the first 3 are childhood things.

goooooooo irrational fear!

DOLLS. Sweet Jesus alive, I can't stand 'em. Anything made in the image of a person bugs me- figurines, statues, paintings or photos of people I don't know- but dolls are the main things. Won't even touch the damn things (but that's mainly because I'm OCD and see them as 'unclean').

There are also some more minor fears: I'm not so afraid of the dark or ghosts anymore (used to, but it got better through religion-ish means), but as far as irrational fears, black holes. Bleergh. Having a black hole swallow earth is one of my worst nightmares (used to be a zombie apocalypse, but then I had a Left 4 Dead dream where the main characters were me and my friends, and that was actually seven flavors of badass).

But I guess I'm most worried for the future. Oh, and my mother. Everyone should be afraid of their mother.

Ventriloquist dolls. And not the type that Jeff Dunham uses. These creepy bastards:

And heights. For some reason if I'm up on a seriously high place, looking down doesn't give me that lead block in my stomach. It's looking up. I just get the feeling that I'm gonna fall because I can't see where I am.
