What is it about Fallout 3??

essentially i dont like it. i got it and after playing it for about 2 hours i had grown to puberty, and run out of a big hole in a mountain looking for pierce brosnan.

why does everyone seem to like it??

You have to play for a while before you get into it. You have to about half way through, and the game's a blast.

Fallout 3 has something no other game has, guns
but no, really, its because of the massive amounts of exploration in the wasteland, the unique weapons, and vats is amazing.

It didn't take me 2 hours to start the game. Half an hour possibly? I didn't notice, because I was IMMERSED which is what the intro bit is for.

If you didn't like it though it's no big deal. Just don't play it.

If it takes you two hours to do what should be done in 45 mins TOPS, then you're doing it wrong.

Well the game is badly mediocre but it doesn't seem like you even really gave it a chance. If you just wonder around the world you can find a bunch of stuff to love an enjoy. If you start actually talking to people and paying attention to the main storyline you will start to hate the game pretty much immediately.

It sounds like you didn't even get out of the vault though. I mean the tunnel snake part is pretty retarded and the g.o.a.t test is pointless and the overseer thinking you had something to do with your father leaving is ridiculous, but other than that the vault opening is pretty decent.

Maybe the poor immersion got to you. Anyway you really need to give the game more time before you can truly see the amount of suck the game entails.

i was just curious as to why everyone seems to go on and on at it being amazing. admittedly its probs not my kind of game, even tho i enjoyed Mass Effect.

It shouldn't have taken you anything even remotely that long. Besides, just do the intro, then you get to the best part of the game, the random exploration. Don't do the main quest right away.

I still do not think it is the mekka of gaming, but I do love the game after putting in some time; that said it does need a little more oomph in the first parts for getting you started. once you get to megaton and get some quests going its gold though.
