Because variation is the spice of life and no one would want to be limited to talking about 1-2 things a day. It stays fresh and interesting this way.
Take this thread for example, I think it's silly but it's original and I haven't seen one like it.

Because we are incredibly popular, many people want to tell us about how "sniping sucks" on CODBlops, sometimes users go for the exotic angle and make a thread about how buggy Fallout is.
I like seeing new threads, makes for new and fresh opinions, and a big community isn't a bad thing, I think...
Too many idiot users posting absolute crap.
Most of them start with the word "so" which they often manage to miss-spell.
"Sooo, I met this girl"
"So, you'rethe last person alive when all the hotdogs run out, liek wtf do you do."
"soo I feel like Im the only one who understands"
"so I want a pony but by dad says..."
"leik so, yo can have any flavour ice-cream, but you ghave to eat it off barbara streisand's chest"
"so what's you're favourite cartoon character who also wears a hat"
I come here for interesting news and occasional debate, what I get is a deluge of crap pouring out of the forums.
