You're view on love is... very unpleasant sounding and I want no part in it. But I will add to it to make it sound better to me: love is your mind playing tricks on you, building up your hope so it can just cut you down into depression and anger, but you still want to come back for more.

Also, and no offense, you really can't (or at least is very highly improbable) that you actually love anyone you don't actually talk to, but you'll figure it out eventually.

Why has God punished me to me a introvert?

Now with internet memes cleared of our minds, let us think for a second, why do our emotions controle us? Why can't we controle them? We are like their bitches at times basicly. For instance, I have liked the same girl for six years, and I can't get over her. Why? I have no Idea. It's like every time I see her I fall more in love with her, though I have no chance.

My highschool homecomming is in about a week, and always I intentionally try to skip out on school events. Ever sense the first grade. and now that I am going to a public highschool, their are about 10 girls I like, but I can barley build up the nerve to talk to any of them. Secondly, it's very possible that you haven't gotten over this girl because you haven't attained a level of 'closure'. May not be the case, but more often than not, that is the case. I really can't be bothered going into detail though.

Love to me is the desire to withstand pain and emotional suffering in order to be there for that one person that makes you feel like "maybe this is why I am here" sort of reasons, at least that is my view on the subject.

Ok, Im bout to get deep, ok? Really fucking deep, like bearing my soul deep.

You are basically asking what is love to us.
To me, love is this horrific gut rending feeling, you want to cry, to smile, to live harder, better than you ever have before, it makes you think the impossible is possible, and if it isn't then you won't stop trying until it is. Love gives you the strength to do the impossible, and when you find it you don't want to let go, in fact you can't let go, love has no off ramp, you can not fall out of love, if you do then it wasn't love to begin with. When you're with the person you love you want to help them through their problems, you don't want to just be their rock, you want to be there with them, to tell them that it will be all right, and if it doesn't turn out right, you'll make it right. Love is complicated, but beautiful, it is the most wonderful feeling in the world, and I myself hope to one day feel it.

Ok so I'm going to be the girl to say it... you don't "love her" you like her, but love comes with dating, and knowing if you can stand the person. Also I've had friends that have done that broke down and confessed their love for me they had for years, and I ask them why? They go on to tell me about all this stuff of I'm beautiful, and talented yadda yadda, bullshit I hear every time some guy hopes to get in my pants. Don't downgrade yourself, approach her, ask her if she'd like to do something, not a date mind you! We don't want to suddenly go on a date without knowing if there is some sort of romantic, and sexual chemistry. Be confident with yourself, and find out if you actually "like her". Make a move, it's what I did to a friend I've known for 5 years, and we are now really hitting things off. I liked him for a while, but I wanted to know -him- beyond as a friend.

By the way. I'm such a complete hopeless romantic, someone quoted the Love is a splendor, Love is like oxygen quote from Moulin Rouge and I SWOOOON like a school girl. Approach her, have an open heart, and make her laugh! If things don't hit it off, then someone else is waiting for you, as you are for them.
