Idea:

A coop class based RPG revolving around a party of fully voice-acted customized characters chosen by the players. Character backgrounds and attitudes could be chosen by players as well with all dialogue revolving around an Alpha Protocol type system where players choose tones for their responses. Setting, overall game story, doesn't matter.

It needs a background story unique to each character, and during cutscenes some characters may be taken away from the rest of the party to experience story elements unique to only them. (Players should be advised to keep these story elements to themselves for the full experience)

As the game progresses, these unique "secret" story elements unique to those character may be revealed to everyone eventually, developed by the decisions made by each of those individual characters. One person may turn out to be a secret bad guy, 2 people may conspire to kill off another person who is then replaced with another party member for him to control. And so on.

THESE ARE JUST MY IDEAS, DON'T HIT ME.
A good idea, but freaking crazy hard to make...Basically impossible, and pretty much guaranteed not to profit with it's less wide-spread appeal.

A non-voiced, low budget version might be possible, though. And likely shit, sadly.
That's pretty much what I thought. Just thinking about it and putting it into words was hard enough. It'll likely remain an overambitious and unsellable idea forever ;\ Seems like plenty of people like their class based RPG's to include loads of killing, and that is all.

Port..oh nvm.
I liked splinter cell's multilayer where you could use elaborate distractions to fool the AI.

It's not what it's missing, but what it INCLUDES. I'd be more inclined to multi-play if I didn't hear so much about people who are trash-talking, whiney, swearing, pains in the ass.

Nothing. It's fine the way it is. You want a motivation other than "That's the enemy, kill them,"?

GO PLAY SINGLE-PLAYER.
I would if SP wasn't anything more that a quick training session with a lame-ass story slapped on.
Find different games, then.
Which would be why I don't play FPS games. But by the same token, you don't like that people are trying to bring some creativity into what is nothing more than a stagnant e-peen fest? Go find another thread.

A proper co-op campaign with a story where you all have your own agenda, not just the other people tagging along with the main character. And ultimately a few of the players die or something. (They could always play the enemy so they don't get bored).

Perhaps you could all play different stories that intermingle at some point.
I like the idea of each player getting their own goal, it be really fun if you didn't know the other players goals so you never know if their goals will conflict with yours.

One thing that kinda annoys me sometimes is that team games in multiplayer often only mean 'you are only supposed to shoot half the players on the map' but don't actually encourage TEAMWORK! I'd like to see more game types where you actually need to work as a team and co-ordinate to achieve your objective, rather than just run around doing your own thing.

Bad Co. 2 did that, though not to the fullest extent. They made teamwork much, much more effective than just running about doing what you please.

As some have said before me, online multiplayer is missing teamwork... because it lacks for quality teammates.

...and local multiplayer is just missing support in a bunch of newer games.

an limit power up system where if u get a certain amount of kills u get to a attack boost or some sort or stat bost while if you die to much you will get a certain stat boost option but at the cost of losing health or recieving damage+ while using it. put that in fps and a small plot

I'm sure that, way back when, someone's response to the idea of full-on multiplayer was "you want to play with other people? GO PLAY OUTSIDE."

So yeah, "its fine the way it is" doesn't really cut it.

OT: Depending on how much story and such Brink has in it, it has the potential to be something really different (as it stands, it is different), but I can't really tell without playing it.

We are missing a quality Strategy MP like something like Total war series where you take peoples territories,I know this would be really hard to implement but Imagine how awesome it would be?

Or why not territories in FPS games like there are 40 places/maps and there are places fighting in these places and when the battle ends whoever wins gets the territory and bonuses on it in next battles I mean it would be awesome.
