Alright, as per the OP's recommendation, I watched the first episode of Arrow.
Yeah, it was intriguing and interesting enough.

Believe me if you at all liked the first, it gets significantly better as it goes along. It wasn't until a few episodes in till I was like 'Wow, this is awesome!' but once I was I couldn't stop.
