TARDIS stands for 'Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space'

It is a time travelling spaceship with a device called a Chameleon Circuit that disguises it as it's surroundings to blend in. Currently broken, it is in the form of a 1960's Police Box

It is also dimensionally transcendental. Meaning it is bigger on the inside because it exists in a separate dimension.
