I'm going to assume that was Clash of Ninja 2, which had a serious balance issue with Akamaru. He was too short to hit.

Anyway, I would recommend Ultimate Ninja Storm over any other, because the pacing feels a bit more like what it should be, given the source material. It's also very smooth to transition from one combo to another, surprisingly, and the ultimate jutsus are awesome.

"If I can't do 100 push-ups in 5 seconds... COSSACK DANCE TIME!"

EDIT: I think one of the games should have at least one of Johnny Bosch's many many many extras in the series, as a playable character. That would be hilariously awesome.

Also, I'd like to say "inb4 naruto suxlol" but its not too surprising to have been beated already.
Never assume you'll beat the idiots in a race.

I honestly had no idea.
Yep, Crispin Freeman is Alucard.

Or <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGJ_Tg8v2Gs&feature=related>give him handcuffs and greaves...
That....was......AWESOME.
Iv never played ToS.
Iv only read about it, and the Regal always stuck out to me.
Now Regal is my favorite character.
He gets a pretty cheesily-done line almost right after that, but it doesn't really counter how good that line was. He was definitely one of the better-voiced characters in the game.

I wonder how many voices Crispin has done that i might remember.

Holy mother of ****.
Vandread, Rurouni Kenshin, BioShock2, The Big O, s-CRY-ed(just to name very few)
This man is a God Tier Voice Actor.
And i feel ashamed for not knowing this sooner.
That he is. Proof that he's God tier? Well...he already has an established "badass" voice (Alucard, Regal, Itachi, Zelgadis, Hughes from Baten Kaitos...). Know who else he voices?

The best part is, he owns the role.

He's also Hideki from Chobits, apparently, but I haven't seen the dub of that.

There is no answer because it's a naruto game. If you're playing a naruto game then there's something wrong because literally anything is better then those poorly made shitfests that are based off of an even worse anime.
Actually to be honest, Naruto: Rise of a Ninja was quite an enjoyable little game. I hate the anime, but that game is freaking fun (and quite difficult at times).
So, sorry not all Naruto games suck. The fighting ones do without a doubt, but Naruto:RoAN actually makes a fairly entertaining original games.

Thank you! Finally an objective opinion. Rise of a ninja was great fun and I'm yet to play Broken bonds (which is the sequel from what I've seen).
I do not like the naruto anime at all, and yet I can be mature enough to say Rise of a ninja is actually alot of fun rather than "Naruto sux and nothing good has EVER come from the series". Seriously guys, you're like 2 year olds, grow up.
Kudos to you Xavier for going against the grain.

Iv tried looking for this game but, its very Rare where i live.
I might haft to order it Online if i ever want to play it.
And aside from Regal's voice i really like his Design, he must have some cool and very powerful Special Skills because of how he fights huh?

I wonder how many voices Crispin has done that i might remember.

Yea, i saw Kyon and went Wow.
From the bit of the series iv seen Kyon has had a good voice when i saw him.
It fit with his Design and his personality.

Crispin has also been in quite a few Video Games.
Man this guy has done a lot.

He's...interesting. His combo system works differently from the other characters (rather than chain lvl. 1/2/3 attacks together, he can mix and match ground/anti-air/midair techniques). I never got as used to controlling him as I did Lloyd or Zelos, but he is handy to have as a CPU partner, and he looks pretty cool fighting (and he can heal, as well).

I think his normal fighting actually looks even cooler in Dawn of the New World (since he doesn't have the handcuffs)...which sorta makes up for the fact that his mystic arte is boring as hell. And his hi-ougi (like everyone's except Lloyd, Colette, and Genis) in the original is PS2-exclusive, which never left Japan.

However I will stand that the games themselves are still mediocre and only get the majority of their sales from the name while the developers rarely care for the quality of the game.
If 8ing managed to make the Clash of Ninja games good without even trying, I can't even imagine how good a game they'd make if they put effort into it. It'd probably be like combining Guilty Gear and Fate/Unlimited Codes into one impossibly-cool mix.

There were some EX skills you could get that allowed others to do the whole mix-match thing too, weren't there? I had a mate that loved playing as Regal, it;s too bad his skills don't get too good until the very end. He's a late bloomer.
Is Dawn of the New world good? I never got around to buying it and they don't like selling it in England.

Anyway, Naruto games. Well, Naruto isn't the best subject matter, but Rise of a Ninja is a fun little thing to play. Certainly my favourite.

I love the trolls in this thread, LordNue the worst among them. Seriously, if you don't like Naruto, then you posting in a thread about it is absolutely useless, and all you are doing is purposely antagonizing the OP. IE, trolling. You should end it, as all you are doing is being irritating, not cool.

OT: I haven't played Rise of Ninja or Broken Bond, but I do intend to purchase both, as I recently got myself a 360. I liked Clash of Ninja for Gamecube, whichever one that was. I would love to see a Naruto fighting game that allowed you to create your own ninja. That'd be badass.

I only liked Ultimate Ninja 3 on the PS2,
simple basic fighter, but nice speed, power ups, and i like the log block move,
decent fighting game to do with friends who don't like fighters much.

I'm going to have to find out for myself. It's been a while since I played, and I usually focused more on Zelos, Colette, and Lloyd. I'm still good for a few more playthroughs, though, and he seems to have some skills that make him even more like a fighting game character (I'll probably have fun with Counter in the future...).

It's not one of the more popular Tales games, but I enjoyed it a lot. The story is decent (including one of the better love stories I've read in a game), the combat is fun (it takes a lot of inspiration from Tales of the Abyss), and the new characters are great. Also, full voice acting really does make the C-skits even better.

I can't remember if the PAL version has been released yet...

It is out, but shops don't have it. I might Amazon it after this deluge of games passes. The only issue is, in the time between the American release and the UK release (about 4 months) I managed to read up basically the entire plot including spoilers in fragments on TV Tropes.org.
About the whole Ratatosk thing and whatnot.

I've also heard it's very short. Is it?

go with the naruto ultimate ninja series, mainly the 3ed one for the ps2 not the storm cause all the good parts from the first one were chucked into the trash like perfectly good candy, but I'm side tracking, the naruto ultimate ninja series sticks nicely to the story line with some fun extras here and there, like actually being able to stay in the fun forms like narutos fox form, and all the curse marks, but the problem is that if u toke the time to sup up ur character then u are basically making him weaker, cause of the fact that u get rid of the fun cut scene ultimate jutsu, it also sticks to the most fun of naruto and that is the actual fighting, the rest of it might as well just cram itself into a tiny box and shove away, unless ur into that thing and u don't like the fighting of an action manga turned into a fighting game. but it has some extra fun characters like hinabi, (hinata's sister, also not sure if that is really her name) and even anbu kakashi, even even even the konoamaru ninja squad, if u love the fighting of naruto then this is the game for u, also with some funnyness and just flat out badassness this is still one of my number 1 faves of it, but then again 1 was good, 2 sucked, 3 was the best, while 4 made and attempt and i have still yet to try out 5 from a stupid broken ps2. thank you for reading all this and i hope it was helpful

That might do it, though I think it's still pretty fun to play (and knowing the story doesn't mean everything, unless you've also watched everything on Youtube or something).

It's a lot shorter than Symphonia was, certainly, not that that's saying much. It's still decent RPG length, especially taking the side battles into consideration.

I don't think any of them will be interesting before the series concludes and they will make a Naruto game that has as ridiculously many characters as a Dragonball Z game. I say that because i really want to play with all Six Paths of Pain and Madara.

The problem with the games of this type I've seen is that they often don't fully explore the design space. Every character plays incredibly identical to one another.

Now, if they made a DotA type out of this, I can totally see this working.
