What is the Best and Worst Video Game Company?

Tell me what company do you trust to make your games and what do you not. For best, I want to say its a tie for Bestheda thanks to their always awesome RPGs and Bioware, for the same reason, for worst....EA.

They remake the same sports crap which I think should just be DLC. They did that bull with charging people for demos. And lets face it, their games aren't doing well

I think you got your two mixed up, seeing how Infinity Wards were asses. they give us a glitchy and very moddable multiplayer. They charged us for overpriced and underwelming new maps. And they took too long to patches the problems

So are you referring to either the publisher or developer? Or both? Do they have to be conjointed? Hopefully not. Developers should never receive the blame for publisher's mistakes.

Best, probably Valve. They know a good thing when they see it, and aren't shy about rewarding creativity.

As for worst of the ones I know...I'll say Microsoft, if that counts. I just equate them to corporate greed, and they've yet to prove me wrong. Activision's no charmer either, but I still think Microsoft has them beat.

Best? I don't know, all developers are good and bad. For example, while Valve making great, games, they take their fucking time doing it and always miss release dates.

Worst? Majestic Studios, the makers of Limbo of the Lost.

I honestly couldn't care if EA release sports-titles yearly if they go to funding (at least in part) the likes of Mass Effect, Dragon Age and Crysis.

So are we talking about publishers or developers (since you seem confused yourself)?

If developers, then best are BioWare and Valve (and Ubisoft Montreal depending on what mood they're in).

You seem to be under the impression that Activision leaves it's developers with any sort of control over what they're doing.

Not for Sonic. But for their other stuff...Valkyria Chronicles, Bayonetta, Vanquish, Madworld.

Two reasons I liked it, one I enjoyed some of the inovations they tried to use, like fusing weapons together, that I liked. Plus instead of moral choice system it had reputation. Which I liked. I admit it wasn't a good RPG, but I did enjoy it for what it was

Yeah, which totally had nothing to do with the company being screwed up beyond repair by Activision.

I don't care. All of the CoD games were good games. Every press statements that come out by Activision are disasters.

I wondered how quickly the words Activision, Infinity Ward and Treyarch would be mentioned in here. I think that Eidos deserve a mention; the Lara Croft games have been going for ages, the Hitman games are fantastic, I think that the Kane and Lynch games deserve more praise, they also have Theif, Deus Ex, Just Cause, and Arkham Asylum. Sure, Eidos are publishers rather than developers, but they've got some bloody good games. I mean, just look at Pony Friends 2 on the DS - stunning.

Rockstar are the best by far in my personal opinion. Bearing in mind I've only played GTA and Red Dead, they've done everything I wanted and then some. Red Dead espically, with a well made protaganist and a fantastic story. That and the most awesome DLC I've played recently. I'm looking forward to La Noir, should be good considering the time period and the character.

Don't really have a worse one. I could pretty much sum up an issue with all game companies, but none have really pissed me off. Activision I know will be the favorite choice, but thats only because of Bobby and his business plan. He's just in it for the money, and to keep the shareholders happy. Get rid of him and activison is just another gaming studio.

Your mileage will vary, alot.

If you find theres a number of games that you love that all happen to come from the same company then that should be your faverote company. Catagorically this makes my faves Capcom and Valve.

And visa versa if theres a number of games youd rather smash than play again that happen to come from the same company, that should be your videogame hate icon. Mine happens to be Guerilla.

I could elaborate on why i love/hate theese companies, but thats going way off topic.

I was just saying that very thing. I enjoyed two worlds as well. i don't think it deserves nearly the crap that it gets there are much worse games out there.

We might be the only two people on here that have this opinion though.
