Tabuu in Smash Bros. Brawl with that big red laser circle thingy that kills you instantly
A nightmare to someone who can't get the whole dodge thing down

Agreed, but that was before. I got the whole dodge thing easily after practicing.

And the hardest would be from No More Heroes for Wii. The last few bosses have a one hit kill move that if you go close to them, they trip and start beating the shit out of you!

Halberd of the Heavens, one of the attacks of the Spirit Sorceror in Lost Odyssey:

Just skip to about 3:55. Wonderful. :)

That attack did cause me a fair amount of grief though...

Easily Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid. That was a pretty big WTF moment in gaming.
i have no idea how that slipped my mind! i suppose i mean big bang sorta moves like ones that inflict ridiculous amounts of pain in an over-the-top way, but yeah psycho mantis, that was one crazy ass boss fight.

Ok, this isn't really a boss move exactly, but it just came to mind and is really too epic not to post:

Ninja Gaiden DS' Dark Dragon had an awesome attack for his his last stand, but it sucked. If you went straight for him when he had 1 hp, he would grab you with his mouth and shoot lasers from his mouth while you are in his mouth ad nauseum until dead. It looked cool and was pretty nice of Tecmo of putting in a final attack for the final boss, but it sucked balls if you didn't dodge it.

Personally, the Super Nova move by Sephiroth in FFVII was just one of the most insane moves i've ever seen. He calls a huge bit of energy from the out reaches of the universe to the Milky Way and along the way it destroys most of the other planets in the solar system until it reaches the Sun and it BLOWS UP ON YOUR FACE...kinda...silly really, how does the Earth survive the sun being a metre from it? (I dunno Cloud is just magicman...) ANYWAY. the move is shown in like a 2 minute cutscene of raw awesome. anything to top that?
that move was long and tedious and a pain to have to sit through multiple times. Im getting sick of the sephiroth fanboyism in this forum to the point it makes me want to puke.
well, when i wrote this topic up, it was after delving into a bit of nostalgic youtubing and coming across this particular cutscene and remembering how cool it was the first time i saw it. and im not particularly a huge fan of sephiroth, sure he was cool, but watevs. and also, that move was long, awesome, and tedious if you HAD to sit through it multiple times, i only saw it once when i played against him, because i killed him afterwards. you can go puke now if you need..

Gandondorf's Warlock-Punch. Easy to dodge but whenever he does it, it knocks off another row of blocks leaving you with less room to maneuver and less chance of victory until eventually its impossible.

Not really a boss, but if you attack Shegorath (or however you spell his name) in the Shivering Isles in Oblivion, he casts a spell on you and tells you to "enjoy the view." You then are teleported approx. 1,000 feet in the air above the island. Right before you hit the ground, you see a big pile of blood and bodies from the other people stupid enough to attack a god.

When that happened to me, I nearly laughed up my spleen.

The Undying final boss in ff12, he owns with megaflare. In a truly epic cutscene he charges up his l4z0rs and pwns your party, usually killing one party member.

Destroyman in No More Heroes, Crotch-lasers FTW! Also, when you beat him he reveals his last ditch-effort attack, machine-guns mounted in his nipples :D

In Einhander for PS1, the mini-boss of Stage 2 (the train chase) was absolutely enthralling. In particular, he had a move where he'd fire seeker missiles behind you and at the same time spray you with weapons fire from the front. Avoidable, but fun as hell to do so every single time.

I personally like one of the final bosses from Kingdom Hearts 2 that throws you off into Space, forcing you to cut through buildings in order to make your way back to him. Oh, and that fight at the end where you have to parry thousands of blows before actually killing him. I don't even like Kingdom Hearts but that's awesome.
You mean this one?

Starts at 2:18.

It really helps when you figure out you're supposed to hit both triangle and X.

Ever played Dead Rising? Remember the Butcher boss?
His most dick move was grabbing you, hanging you on a hook, and slowly removing 8 health bars via repeated knife slashes.
Damnit, that move caused me SO much frustration...
