Why Battlefront 3..... WHYYYYYYYYY.

It would have been the best game I would ever play.... but now! Why!
Now look what you did EA, you made him cry, proud of yourself?

They were making a Fallout MMO of some sort, which sounded like it would have been a great game. Real people to converse/fight with, factions to join and a big juicy wasteland to explore. Though they'd probably have to dial up the RPG elements, which can be taken as a good thing or a bad thing, but otherwise when it was announced I was really looking forward to it. According to IGN's list of dead/dying games it's not being made anymore, so that's a shame. Hopefully someone pick up the reins (Gearbox put your bloody hand down, no-one wants to hear it).

Edge of Twilight looked like it would have been an awesome game. The screenshots of the world were fantastic.

@Fox KITSUNECause EA was like "NO WAY. We need to roll the fans over and screw them with C&C 4". Which was a wreak, on fire covered in dead baby rabbits. I don't need to go into that further.

SC Ghost for me though.

KotOR 3, Shenmue 3, and Beyond Good and Evil 2

When I see that last one with an actual release date, then it goes off my list.
Some sequels would be more appreciated than others. T^T

And then there's Thrill Kill, which also looked like it could have been a lot of fun. Thankfully, its engine still got used in other games.
Played the leaked/pirated version back in the day (don't complain, i was young and lured in by the whole "so violent it got banned" thing, and it's not like i could've payed for it anyways) and it was certainly fun.

It wasn't a good game, being kinda ugly and having VERY stiff controls, but it was different from any other Beat Em Up, had some ridiculous moves and characters and due to that, was very addictive in multiplayer.

Never got the "too violent" thing anyways, i must've been 11 or 12 at the time and while i wouldn't say that it was "okay" for me to play i still ended up being more amused than repulsed and it felt mostly silly to me, dispite being dark and grimy.

Also, it had the best use of alternate costumes for a character ever (one character could not use his arms, depending on the costume, either because he is handcuffed, in a straightjacked, or had his arms being SAWN OFF)

Come on, True Crime Hong Kong. It was literally ready to ship. Then Activision pulled the plug.

And hey, it actually looked great. I've always been fond of the series, glitches and stupid plots and all.
Trailer looked nice, and although i think it wouldn't have been a stunningly great game, it still probably was fun, especially as a cheesy action-y alternative to LA Noire

----------------------------

As for me:

Killing Day: The Guns-Akimbo Shooter by Ubisoft that was first shown when the PS3 was first revealed. Looked Pretty slick, very much like John Woo's Stranglehold in first person.

The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf: A sort of "remake" of the first Witcher Game for Consoles with lots of redesigned enemys and locations, as well as a new interface and a new combat system. A straight port would've sufficed, and that sounded even more awesome

Dead Rush: A game by Treyarch for the PS2. Openworld Zombie Survival Horror with a focus on driving or in short: GTA with Zombies. Not mindblowingly stunning, but the trailers looked like a lot of fun.

Faith and a .45: Third Person CoOp Shooter that is highly inspired by the Story of Bonnie and Clyde as well as old Roadmovies. And it would've been a Love Story. Looked pretty cool and the concept of a "Romantic Shooter" was awesome enough by itself.

But most of all:

Falcone: Into the Maelstrom: Combining two of my favorite Genres, Space Combat and FPS, Falcone for PS2 and Xbox would've let you play as a Space Pirate, gathering teammates and breaching spaceships INSIDE AND OUT to hoard valuables. Also promised extensive Multi Player Modes. And looked pretty nice:

The Space Combat/Shooter Formula was later taken on by "Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter", but that one sucked. Somehow, i'm still hoping someone makes this game.

I don't think that's officially cancelled, but there certainly hasn't been much news as of late. Not looking good. Which is unfortunate, because the game certainly did. Look good, that is.

Loose Cannon [http://pc.ign.com/objects/010/010579.html].

IIRC, it was basically a sci-fi GTA3, only bigger and better. And announced three years earlier, to boot. And for a short while, it seemed that ubisoft had taken it up after it was cancelled.

And Mechwarrior 5.

Fallout 3.
(and no, I don't mean the Bethesda version, I mean codename Van Buren)
New Vegas had some of the same people working on it as Van Burn and some concepts such as the Legion are in both as well.

I'd love to have seen Warcraft Adventures: Lord of the clans.

Also Starcraft: Ghost.

Also, the rest of the damn BG&E trilogy!

It's gotta be this. The Command and Conquer fans would of loved it and FPS shooter fans would love the squad based control of GDI units including Wolverine Mechs and ORCA's. You were a GDI commando, that helped GDI control and defend the last SCRIN tower, if anyone remembered and/or didn't play Command and Conquer 3.

It had so much potential IDK why EA canceled it.
Hot damn, that does sound good.

Look at how many people said Starcraft Ghost, lol.
That game looked so beautiful ;_;

Apparently it got kicked around between various rivalling producers at EA. The long and short of it is that each successive producer ended up working to undermine one or more of thier predecessors. One of the reasons it was killed off was because the producers didnt want the horror they thought they made to go out with thier names on it.

Also keep in mind this was during the time of EA's sequelitis [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Sequelitis] policy, so most of those producers were probably focused on something else that they thought was more important than a spinoff game.

Freelancer 2 .... freaking awesome game, and I would give the world to see a sequel for it... just damn sad that they split up and now there is one owner of the name and one owner of the story and one owner of the distribution rights... just a completely mess. I still take a look on the old Alpha test video clips there are on you tube, from time to time.
