What is the best RPG you have ever played

Multiple RPGs hold dear spots in my heart.

For a start, the Pokemon games, especially Pokemon Gold, since it was practically perfect in the sense of both RPGS and the Pokemon games.

Also, Dragon Quest: Journey of the Cursed King is a fantastic RPG for the PS2, as is Final Fantasy X.

Also, the Fire Emblem games are pseudo RPGs, I guess, more Tactical RPG as I have heard them described, but they deserve a mention anyway.

Elder Scrolls and then Diablo, Fallout 2/3 and then MAYBE some R00NSC4P3. Just kidding about Runescape *looks around the room with shifty eyes* yes... just kidding... Hehe...

Edit: OH YEAH. I forgot KOTOR1. KOTOR2 was just KOTOR1 with a few names changed, a few places swapped and a new villain. Which is what it was so disappointing to me..

Would have to be Xenogears, bar none for me. No other RPG to date (Yes, this includes FF7 as much as I loved that game and everything about it) has been able to enthrall me, capture me and really make me think as Xenogears did, even to this day. The Xenosaga games originally had potential to be a great prequel series, leading up to the eventual remake of Xenogears (Episode 5) but then they went ahead and actually made the prequel games (Epic failure).

That's too hard for me to tell. It is like choosing between a harem and a million bucks. If i had to pick my favorite turn based rpg. Lunar series and grandia series{Grandia extreme is garbage.] would be high on the list.
