I can't stand wireless controllers in general. They cost more and run out of batteries every immersion-breaking five minutes.
They don't run out every 5-minutes. Depending how long and often I play my games, the battery life lasts from 2 weeks to 5 weeks
Well, to be fair I think it was the batteries I was using. I was trying those rechargable ones, and they were crap. But even so I still have a permanant grudge against wireless controllers.
Well...there's yer problem. (mythbuster quote)
I use Energizer and as someone else said, if you have two then you have one on standby.

Ah well, I just find the wired ones more convenient - nothing is more annoying than running out of batteries halfway through a big daddy battle.

Mouse & Keyboard of course. After that the 360 pad - sleek and comfy.

EDIT: Oh right just read it again, but I think you're a little off the mark with peripherals as gamepads, mice & keyboards are all peripherals too.

Well, when the batteries die, the game does pause for you...although that does break the flow as you described...so...yeah, you know what? You're right. Forget I said anything.

Best: Guitar hero guitar

Worst: Umm, the wii steering wheel. Mostly because I suck with it

Worst: any unnecessary wii attachment (wii gun, wii wheel). On the hypocritical side, I like the sword and shield attachments. But the best peripheral? PS2's eyetoy. Addictive crappy fun

Best: Original Guitar Hero controller. Gotta give it credit for leading to a franchise of epic games.
Worst: Wii Zapper

Insanum

The Basement Caretaker.

Would the clip on attachments for the Wiimotes (baseball bat, etc) count?

Not sure if this counts, but technically it didn't ship with the consoles. The official wavebird for the gamecube. I could play my gamecube, in my room upstairs, from the living room downstairs. Although seeing was a slight problem...

Buy better batteries, mine last in my 360 controllers for about 4 months.

Yea i read the posts. R.O.B. was terrible. I don't care what you say. i had the first series R.O.B. and at 7 years old i was smart enough to just rip the controller out of its holster and just push the buttons with my own two hands. Not to even mention the noise, speed, and blinding flashes of epelectic light. You know those warnings we have before video game even today that they may cause seizures. Yea i blame rob for that. I mean seriously did you ever try to beat the higher levels of gyromite with R.O.B. It was impossible. Yet smushing them between pillars was the most satisfying part of that game anyway.

All hail the power glove LUCAS LUCAS LUCAS LUCAS!!! Oh yea.. it's bad.

Honroable mention for worst: Virtual boy.

Best: The rockband gear without a doubt.

With any luck Project Natals Sensor will win worst controller ever, and hopefully drag the wiimote and all its shitty attachments down with it.

Although if I were to hazard a guess I'd probably say the upcoming Tony Hawks Skateboard Controller is probbaly gonna be the worst xD

The Wii nunchuck is the worst. It's necessary for nearly every game and it doesn't even have any, and I repeat any, ninja uses. Why even call it the nunchuck if I can't destroy my friend when he beats me at a game.

First answer is a failure! Wiimote is the official controler, not a periferal.
You seem not to know a peripheral actually is. But then again, why would you know know what it is when you can't spell it? So before you jump up and call my post a failure, I might recommend a spelling lesson, and a knowledge of the topic.

Well you don't NEED it. Games CAN be played by the Game Cube controlled. He is technically right.

Paraphernalia; noun; Miscellaneous items, especially the set of equipment required for a particular activity; stuff;
