Depends on where you're shopping, not all places have the same prices. Older games like Gears of war can be picked up for qite a good price these days.

If you mean on XBL Arcade, Dorritos Dash, Aegis Wing, and (I believe) Hexic HD are all free. If you're looking for a retail game, it's just going to depend on where you go. If you've got a Gamestop in town, check there, they tend to have a pretty good selection of games, and it's not uncommon to even find really good games for $10-30 there.
