I live in the Pittsburgh area and there used to be a place called Dixmont Insane Asylum (you probably heard of it, it was on Scariest Places on Earth, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pa3iE88bdxw) Anyway, I never went there, largely because I'm too goddamn smart to go to creepy places with a bad history, but my dad has some experiences that I will now share with you. He is a county sheriff (K9 if you must know) and as part of the training he has to give to new dogs and officers, they would go to Dixmont and play a fucked up game of hide and go seek, where the dog has to go look through the entire building to find the people, or maybe they were supposed to look for drugs, I can't remember. Regardless, on the fifth floor, I believe it was, when he and his dog would go up there, there was an empty hallway, save for the windows and one rocking chair, that would move all on its own. Needless to say, he hated that place, always felt someone was watching him, even from the outside (Note: The very same area of the rocking chair of before would have a window who's curtains would be open and you could see nothing but utter darkness). The history of the Asylum is in the video, or you can look it up. Unfortunately, they tore down Dixmont in place of a building far worse (Que drum roll) WALMART! I don't believe construction has started yet, but leave it to Walmart to destroy local history.
