...a porn star, and a wh**e?

Is wh**e a word that we can't use on this site? If I am in the wrong, I ask the mods to please delete this thread, and explain why I am penalized now. (if I am)

Would it be okay if I used 'Lady of the Evening' instead?

What are your thoughts about this name thing?

I use ** just in case that word isn't allowed here.

Use "Registered companion." That'll sit better with those bearing earthen-hued jackets.

My understanding (very removed from the subjects) is, it's based in the medium. Do you pay to watch, or to get more "hands-on"?

A "registered companion" is more so for anybody to enjoy.

A pornstar is for anybody to enjoy through video.

Dude. Yahtzees foul fucking mouth made this site. If they bitched about a touch of foul language they should then quit since foul language pays their bills.

And not really. Both suck dick for money. One on camera the other only occassionally on camera.
Besides, theres nothing wrong with the word whore.
Don't call me dude. (lol)

The post below you does a better job at explaining the difference.

But I am happy that you have come forth to declare that no difference exists.

People have been reprimanded for using the word wh**e on this site.

Both sell their bodies for something, money or drugs, or both in some cases.

One is just able to become famous for it and make a lot of money by showing her lady area for everyone to see for a profit. Porn is considered an art, that is protected by Free Speech, and I think that's a load of horse-crap. I don't think they should become famous and make that much money- but that's my opinion again, getting in the way; don't mind it.

Where as a 'Lady of the evening' that walks around street corners, will never be famous. They also have a far more dangerous 'job'. They run the risk of being kidnapped and being murdered because they try to keep it secret, since they'll be arrested because they aren't considered 'artists'.

Then again, you don't get diseases from wanking it in your bedroom to pornography. Not to say that porn stars, and streetwalkers alike, haven't gotten their fair share of diseases.

If you are talking about high-class broads who only do men for money, well, that wouldn't make them that much different. A camera is the only thing missing in that equation.

Porn contains very little actual sex. It's like any movie, what you are seeing is a final product of all the shoots they did.

A lady of the evening is paid for the raw act.
A film star is paid to simulate the act.

A Wh**e is paid to have sex.
A porn star is paid to have sex on camera.

That's about it, really.

They both sell sex, but in slightly different ways. I don't see the problem with any of the words, nor do I understand the appeal of any of them. There are women out there just as desperate and kinky as you, stop sitting inside and stop paying for stuff that could easily be free!

Porn stars appear in pornography.

A whore sells sex.

Pretty simple, really.
Porn stars don't sell sex?
No. They don't sell anything. They star in pornography.
I will have to agree to disagree with you on that.

I have heard many a girl try to sell porn they star in.

Ever heard of the Howard Stern Show? I can list others, but he is by far the most popular.

Ladies of negotiable affection would perhaps suffice

Selling pornography isn't selling sex.

Sex (in this context) is the act of sexual intercourse, wherein the genitals or other sexual organs of two or more individuals are stimulated by one another for the purpose of gratification.

Pornography is a film.

To sell sex one must offer their body in exchange for payment. Not a tape.
Hold on. A porn star is paid to have sex on film. At this point, the difference between a whore and a porn star is simply sintax; both are essentially being paid to have sex, one just has the addition of the camera. While a movie, there's still sex and there is still an exchange of money involved.

However, the odd thing that I've noted is that making porn is still perfectly legal, but prostitution isn't in most areas in the US. This idea confuses me greatly.

Actually all porn-stars get screened for STD's and the like so you're wrong there
