I only spent time in the PA forums, although I hadn't been to the site in years. Over time it felt less and less in touch with consumers (aka my own infallible opinion, heh) and more like a shill for the games industry. They'd poke fun at the quirks and failings of individual games, but when major issues arose they pretty predictably toed the party line.
Not a surprise, due to PAX, you can't really bite the hand that pays to set up booths at your events.
Then the Mass Effect 3 thing happened, and... yeah.

I use gamefaqs for the FAQs. They're great, don't really use the forums.
Destructoid is kind of meh. Lower content posts and generally more venom.
NeoGAF I'm genuinely scared of. The industry as it stands is a circle jerk of barely tenable ideas constantly being reinforced, I don't want to be around people that actually work in it, although I've spent a grand total of 5 minutes 8 months ago on the front page.
