It's a romhack called Super Kaizo World.

If Satan ever crafted a game with all its malevolence and hatred, this be it.

Special stage videos, just displaying how ridiculously horrifying they are. It's not that they are designed with shit, it's that they are crafted to be exceptionally difficult but gratifying to accomplish, with some sanity left intact.

I have a copy of Commandos 3: Destination Berlin that I got with a hardware purchase (or something) a long time ago. I finally tried to play it about a month ago. I died 5 times in the fucking tutorial levels and I didn't get through the first mission (I tried for a long time). It's control scheme was just so unintuitive that it felt like I was in a stealth/action game with the controls of an aircraft carrier.

Ikaruga. There is just so much shit coming at you, its unreal.
It all has a pattern. So does Touhou.

(I S ranked all of it (even chapter 4))

But it is and was extremely hard, and it took 30+ hours for me to get skilled at it consistently.

I would say that, F-Zero GX 100% game, Freekstyle (the way I played it), and uhh...Jagged Alliance 2.

That's just of this more recent generation.

hard is hard, but its only the 2nd of 4 difficulty settings.

difficulty gets ramped up considerably from hard to very hard, then a tad more for master ninja.

Whatever hard is I played on that. Can't remember since it's been a long time. Sure, the camera was frustrating but I wouldn't call it hard.

Call of Duty: World at War. On the hardest difficulty, it rains grenades and you can only throw one back at a time... Ugh.

ummmmmm shit i'm trying to think of a more curent one but games just aren't as hard/good as they used to be. I guess Twilight Princess is the last game that really got me stumped a couple times but I still wouldn't call it hard I'd call it... tricky. I guess Braid was hard but I never really tried so I don't know now I'm just rambling.

Myst 2: Riven. On top of the fact it has 5 discs and you spend most of your life disc-changing, the puzzles are so freaking hard, annoying and time-consuming you wonder why you bother playing it. That said, it is possible of course and I have beaten it once.

Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal is definitely up there.

BG1 was a lot harder than BG2, and it seems like BioWare realised that and decided to make the final game in the series as hard as they possibly could. I'm talking about fights where you have to take on six Fire Giants at once: even one is pretty difficult. The boss battles are all really hard and take a lot of strategy to work out, and the enemies are numbered in the hordes. It's a lot more combat-focused than the previous games.

The most annoying one, though, was when you're attacking an enemy fortress. You walk up to the door and see a lone person standing outside it. He attacks you, and it turns out he is a very powerful mage, and mages are usually problematic. Once you kill him, however, he says "Did you think I could be defeated so easily?" and he turns into a dragon.
