Uuuuh, we are all God's Age of Empires type soldiers. He's watching until we evolve enough to be fit for him to send us to hell to banish evil.

Ooooor. He was bored one day. Oooor, he isn't real. Ooooor, the world is made of doughnuts and we need to exist to pretect the gooey center from the forces of the Giant Squid from mars.

To me, the Meaning of Life is to keep on living, and stop at nothing to do so.

Example, I'm trapped on a desert island with a mobile phone, 5 bottles of water and my best friend. I call the life guard (Or some one) and tel them to come and get me. They say they will be there in 5 days time. I would kill and eat my friend (And drink the water) in order to stay alive.
Be honest. You'd kill and eat you friend if you were hungry, not if you were starving.

I'm on to you...
You stole that.

Oh yeah, I was in the XBL Party at the time.

I'm on to YOU...

I'd say there is none. I mean, yeah, as animals its to... "mate" and continue the species, but above that? I don't see any real higher purpose for us.

Breathing. HA HA I'm so funny.
On a more serious note, I think the meaning of life is just to live, carry on the existence of humanity, that sorta thing.
We keep the human race around long enough, someone's gotta work out the true meaning eventually, right?

While I would say that life has no inherent meaning, I would then turn around and draw on the fine tradition of Albert Camus to say that despite that fact we have the power to make those around us happy, and while it is not imposed on the universe by some greater force, I think there is a sense of duty to try and make others happy. So meaning is subjective as opposed to objective.

Hookers and crack
No, bad Monkfish! Go to your room!

Seriously, though, I'm told regularily by my mother that the meaning of life is to experience pain and suffering, and come out of all the crap you recieve still loving and good. Apparently, this is the way we peeplz grow spiritually.
For the most part, I think I'll trust her on this. I don't really care enough to search for my own reason.

Why can't we just be here? Why does there have to be a "higher purpose?"

There's nothing in the world that implies the existence of a true "win condition."
This is EXACTLY what I've always thought, and I've never been able to understand why hardly anyone else thinks this way.
It's unpleasant to think of and it's contrary to religion.

Well my life's certainly not complete at the moment, but if you're asking what I think makes a person's life complete, I'll say, finding a person you love and being with them, and doing something that you love to do.

True, but if you're not religious then it's the only rational way of thinking about it.
People just aren't as rational as they think they are. Hence religion, marketing, fallacies, and spin.

Hehe, with all the fats we have stored up.. If you can keep hunger at bay, you could survive without eating.
