An interesting point.

Scientifically, human instinct is to continue the life of our species
Emotionally, to find love and to be loved, even love others.
In a general sense the meaning to life is to just be here...to make our own purpose that is the meaning to life.

Make a meaning to life.
How brilliantly philosophical. The perfect answer. It allows every single one of us to make our own choice.

Completely and utterly seconded.

Exactly...
So it wouldn't be a "meaning of life."
Sure to you, but to me it is since I can't be bothered to think up some deep and philosophical answer. Think of my version of the meaning of life as a cop-out. Plus it works for me.

the main meaning of my life is to just be...to live in the very moment and be mindful of everything I can...It's offered alot more contentment, and taken away all the stress and negative issues, even when things go to hell there is something to enjoy.

Let me rephrase that - it's not a meaning. By the definition of a meaning, your answer doesn't qualify.

1 a: the thing one intends to convey especially by language : purport b: the thing that is conveyed especially by language : import
2: something meant or intended : aim
3: significant quality ; especially : implication of a hidden or special significance
4 a: the logical connotation of a word or phrase b: the logical denotation or extension of a word or phrase

Someone's death isn't the intention of life - it's what happens when life is over. If you look back in the thread, I questioned the need for a meaning to life. I don't believe there is one. I'm just debunking this "meaning" because I've heard it before, and I explained why it doesn't work as an answer.

There is no "meaning", except for what you choose it to be.

For me, the meaning of life is to do everything it takes to get the most fun out of life. IE I work now so I can afford some luxury later on, and whenever I don't work I do whatever I enjoy most. IE I get home from work, eat something asap and then go skateboarding, or play the guitar. Or sleep.
Preferably with someone.
