What is the most awesome spaceship in games/film?

SO I would have to do for Forward Unto Dawn from Halo, because it has a bad ass name! all the Halo Ships do. I really like the aesthetics of them as well, really industrial and utilitarian looking.

Hmm. If we're going to go Haloverse, I'd vote for the PoA [http://www.halopedian.com/images/d/d0/PoA.jpg] (as long as you're dealing with its HCE incarnation; the more complicated Reach version lacks character). Or perhaps a CCS-Class cruiser [http://www.halopedian.com/images/3/3b/TruthRecon.jpg] for the Covenant; they were always beautiful, and as much as I dislike Reach's campaign compared to the others, I admit that CCS-class cruiser geometry was used quite well in setting the scenes.

Other stuff? Gotta agree with people saying the TARDIS.

Also, the classic Starcraft battlecruiser. Especially with the unit voicing. Pure awesome.

I'm gonna stick to the Homeworld universe, but go with the Kuun-Lan from Cataclysm.

Why? Well, both the original Mothership and Pride of Hiigara were made to be long distance fleet carriers. The original Mothership was badass in itself because it accomplished its goal while floating through space, stealing tech and researching on the go, and ended up destroying the Taiidan in the end with nothing but a ragtag fleet pieced together from pieces of asteroids and other ships. That, in my opinion is badass.

The Kuun-Laan, however, takes it one step further. Throughout Homeworld, the Bentusi were largely considered to be the baddest mofos in the galaxy. Then the Beast comes along and wrecks their shit. The Kuun-Lan, which started out as nothing but a tiny little mining vessel without any real defensive capabilities, took to the challenge, adapted, turned itself in to a freaking warship, and did what even the Bentusi couldn't. They killed the Beast, completely and totally. Superweapon, advanced intergalactic mothership, and everything else. Without them it's quite possible the entire galaxy would have been consumed.

That, my friends, is why the Kuun-Lan is awesome.

Whoever designed the ships for Star Wars seems to have mastered this. Star Destroyers (Imperial and Super), TIE Fighters, X-Wings, and the Millenium Falcon. They all look unique, yet practical.

For non-Star Wars, I'd have to go for the Ragnarok from Final Fantasy 8. Even though it was little more than a deus ex machina, it was pretty cool looking.

What's with all the love for the normandy? don't get me wrong, ME is a great series, but I found the normandy to be quite a bland ship.
It just looks like a stretched geth head with wings.
