What is the most awesome thing you own?

The most awesome thing that I personally own is this one particular umbrella that I purchased a few months ago. What makes it so awesome, you may ask? Well, it MIGHT have something to do with the fact that the handle of the umbrella is shaped like a friggin' KATANA HANDLE. If that's not enough, it even comes with its own sheath that can go across your back like an actual sword! Cool, huh?

Y'see, this umbrella's not only awesome, it's practical as well. When it's not raining, it just goes back into the sheath and Bam! Both my hands are free to do other stuff, instead of having to carry it around everywhere. However, the thing that could be considered both the best and worst part about it is this: To the uninformed, it looks like a real sword. Whenever I walk around town with it on my back, I get quite a few interesting looks, to say the least. On more than one occasion, people have asked me if that's a real sword on my back... to which I face them, close my eyes and draw it out of the sheath. While they're recoiling, I say to them matter-of-factly "It's an umbrella". It never fails to get a laugh out of the other guy.

The reason why I say that's both the best AND worst part about it, though, is that more often than once, I've had to explain to security people that it's just an umbrella. I never really get in a lot of trouble for it after I explain, but still; getting pulled over by security is never a good thing. Oh yeah, and there was this one time where, after taking it to the train station, one guy supposedly saw me and CALLED THE POLICE. I know this because I ended up getting surrounded by quite a few police officers, as I explained everything to them. I didn't get in any trouble (thank God), but I ended up having to carry around the umbrella by hand for the rest of the trip, to avoid scaring more people.

On the plus side, the police officers had declared my umbrella the coolest thing ever. It was actually kinda interesting to see how fascinated they were by it. One of them asked me where I bought it, so that he could get one of his own. Wow. Then again, that shop that sold them hasn't had any of them in stock for a while now. I wonder if that's a coincidence.

Anyways, that's the most awesome thing I own. Think you can top that?

Can't really think of anything else that counts as "awesome". I have a high-end computer but who doesn't these days?

When these threads pop up on these forums it always makes me feel inferior. I don't really own any super cool nerd stuff on the level that people always talk about, but I'll share what I have this time.

I have an Ezio figure I got with Assassin's Creed 2. But that's not really very unique, and I'm not really that crazy about it. It kind of stands on my shelf reminding me that I wasted money on that limited edition.

I have some mugs with Moomin illustrations on, but I haven't seen them in months. No idea where they are. I also have a plush Snufkin keyring which I don't use anymore, and a Moomin candlestick... thing, which I also don't use.

I own a little music box which plays Yesterday by The Beatles made by a friend of my mother which perpetually sits on my shelf gathering dust. It also contains a AAA battery. Fell in through the hole on top.

I've also got a fossil. An ammonite of some sort. Can't remember where it came from. I didn't find it myself but it didn't come from a shop or anything. It's legit.

A few days ago I got something pretty awesome in the post that I didn't expect though. I got my copy of The Witcher 2 on 360 (which I've yet to start) which happens to be signed by a member of the dev team. I had absolutely no idea that it would be signed, but apparently all pre-orders from Amazon were. So that's pretty cool.

And I have a limited edition version of an album by one of my favourite bands (Holographic Universe by Scar Symmetry). All it really is is the normal CD case packaged in a steelbook thing with some post cards, so it's nothing Earth shatteringly amazing but it is pretty rare. They only made 500 of them and they still have most of them in stock at the website where they sell it, so there's far less actually owned by people.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot! I also have this gathering dust in my cupboard:

It's over 2 feet long. I'm not a Lego enthusiast in any way but I got that just as I was growing out of toys and such.

Well I have a pen that lights up and is shaped like a lightsaber as well as several light saber theme chop sticks. I'm stationed in japan not much of an anime fan sooo. While neither items are that AMAZING they were givin to me when i got home from a sea deployment by my girl friend whom isn't a starwars fan what so ever. (shes japanese so I forgive her for this the translations of the original 3 films were so lost and obscure that fans are almost a myth over here) shes now my wife. You can't not marry a woman that loves pink but while gone for 3 months you come back instead of having a pink room like her old place but instead the room gets more and more nerdy and you weren't the cause that's love :)

Nothing at all that could be deemed cool. I'll have to buy some awesome shit, I've been thinking about buying some Alice Madness returns art for my wall even though I've never played the game but man some of the art I've seen is awesome.

I have a signed copy (one of only two that I know of) of an early version draft of the big bad monster/robot from the 1999 movie Virus as well as a signed polaroid picture taken from the set and a signed, limited edition, t-shirt. One of my uncles did some catering work on the set and gave me some of the stuff. My uncle has the original print of the draft and I have the copy.

My nigh-invulnerable Xbox 360. It falls, it tumbles, and it has only ruined one disk despite having ample opportunity to do far worse.

I have a bayonet from WWII. It was my grand father's back from when he fought in the war. My dad told me that it's a German bayonet but it's pretty old and I don't that much about these things so I'm not particularly sure what side it's from but it's pretty cool :p

Edit: After a google search I found out that it is in fact a German bayonet. It's basically an old rusted version of this.

I recently got a wiener dog. She's pretty cool when she's not shitting on the carpet. I also have a Scott Pilgrim poster that I drew by hand. It's pretty sweet.

Having been obsessed with The Phantom of the Opera from a young age, for Christmas a few years ago my parents got me a hand-molded reproduction of the Phantom's mask from Venice. Two years ago my girlfriend had it mounted in a gold-trimmed shadow box for me. I'm quite proud of it.
