The hundreds of hours I spent watching Tex Avery cartoons as a child have clearly warped my perceptions of the world as an adult. An old girlfriend gave me a stuffed squirrel as a 24th birthday present in 2001 and I named it Screwball and still have him sitting on my bookcase (along with the other stuffed animals I've collected over the years, speaking of childlike things to like as an adult). When I'm alone for too long (like last year, when my wife went to visit her family in Canada for two weeks) and I'm sure nobody's looking I even talk to them like they've got personalities.
