A friend asked me this question yesterday and I said stargate universe for so many reasons (mainly because it was boring as fuck) but I was reading a book last night (proven guilty- the dresden files) and I have a worse one.

The Dresden files. fans will know what I mean. They did not follow the plot of the books, the storys they had were boring, there was little to no magic shown in the show and half the charactors were missing and the other half were wrong. Ironicaly, I first watched Tv series and throught it was Ok, I got bored one summer and bought the books of amazon and loved them and looked back at the Tv series and realized how bad it was.

Anyway what do you guys think? Also to Dresden fans out there how much are you looking forward to the new book next month?

Edit: it just occured to me that not everyone will know what the Dresden files is about. It is about a wizard Pi called harry Dresden who sepeds his time kicking the crap out of evil stuff like fallen angles and vampires (coll, scary baddass vampires not twilight vampires) with really cool magic. Seriusly the guy cannot go 3 chapters without blowing up a building or setting evil stuff on fire. thats why the Tv show was bad, well the main reason. A Tv show does not have the budget to do it properly.

I thought Stargate: SG-1 would be good. It wasn't. For a series that promised lots of traveling to alien worlds and fighting monsters, all the alien worlds looked like they were located somewhere in Canada, and the aliens were always just people with makeup on. I was so bored, I couldn't even finish season 1.

I've got to say the New Red Dwarf. Millions of people sat down to watch it just to marvel at gigantic lack of jokes.

Stargate: Universe

I went into expecting it to be awesome, but it was just... uh, it was lame. Seriously, I hated it. It was either boring or stupid and every character besides Rush just made me want to slap them every time they opened their fucking mouths.

Ashes to Ashes.

It's by no means the worst TV show ever, in fact it's actually pretty good from a completely objective standpoint. But the problem is I can't look at it from an objective standpoint because Life on Mars was so so soooooooo good. Without doubt one of the top 10 best TV shows of this century so far (not the US version just in case anybody here a brain hemorrhage, the UK version), and I wanted Ashes to Ashes to at least live up to that standard and it just... didn't. Then they made the mistake of not ending after just 2 seasons like Life on Mars and got into all that bullshit about heaven and hell at the end of the third.

The Jeff Dunham Show.

He just changed his format too much. What made him funny was the (apparent) spontaneity of his stage performances. The whole "just having a conversation on stage" thing was perfect for him. The show was just too gimmicky and awkward, moving to a more skit format than regular stand-up. I think it could have gone well, if only he hadn't diluted it with those convoluted skits.

Animorphs

I loved the books as a kid, and when it came time for the TV version they got the guys who made Goosebumps to make it.

Uhhg.

You have reminded me of the existence of this pile of crap. For that you must pay. As soon as I am done with this post I am hunting you down with a cheese grater. It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad. I sat through the first episode, got somewhere into the second episode to see lister actually pick up a red dwarf DVD and just stopped watching to tend to the blood pouring from my eyes and ears.

iCarly (My Niece loves it and watches it when I look after her)

Here's an idea...let's take the little sister of the fat one from the godawful Drake and Josh and give her a show where she and some annoying Blonde friend scream in front of a camera and pretend to be "hilarious" for a fake Website.

Nice going Nickelodeon, you've dumbed down your audience.

Well, you have since that godawful Amanda Show & LOL.

Heroes. Very very painful to watch, especially if you read comics
Alright everyone, that's a /thread.

The first season was interesting, and after that it was like a plane with its engines blown off, its wings clipped, and filled with concrete while in mid-air.

Yeah, i know i feel as though I wasted so much time watching that show. and on that note, i feel like the last season of Supernatural was a major disappointment.

Sliders. Such a great premise. But they messed it all up in the second season and crud writing. And getting rid of Professer Arturo

V. I think it was a remake, but I don't know for sure. It's basically a course on how to take a good concept and turn it into a tedious and dull affair. Seriously, the show moved at a glacial pace. Coming from me, a guy who adores shows like Mad Men and The Wire which perfected the slow-burn storytelling style, that's saying something. I only watched the first season, but they never went beyond the potential of big things happening. I'm not just talking about action. It goes for the drama too. There just wasn't just nearly no action, but that were absolutely no drama.

And a more obvious answer: Heroes. Great first season, and then everything else was just a clusterfuck. The show's quality fell off a damn cliff.
