I'm just curious what word people hear and can't believe is a real word. I'll start off the discussion with a pretty simple one that I almost refuse to accept.

Stupidest.

Also...

Wednesday
February

The spelling throws me the hell off.

Humorously enough I almost put "fakest" in the subject header instead of most fake. Which means that while stupidest past the test...fakest didn't :p.

Note: Feel free to also include words that just piss you off. For me Cup and Milk tend to. They just are harsh words. They don't make my mouth happy.

I could not have pressed that bright red button any faster if I tried.

OT: Ginormous

Was that really worth reporting for?
You can report for anything. It is then up to a mod to decided if it is within the rules or not. In fact it is better to report. The part I have a problem with is the need around here to mention that people reported, especially when they add nothing to the discussion.

I like splendiferous, only cause I used that word for a solid month thinking I made it up, only to find out it was a real word.

I always thought "onomatopoeia" sounds like the name for a disease.
To be fair, it barely changed from its original Greek form.
On the other hand, every word in English stems from another language, so...

Not really sure that type of word should apply. I mean that is just a compound word.

I'm willing to believe anything about the English language. So...I dunno, protozoa?

It was in absolutely terrible taste. Whether the mods do anything about it, reporting is still perfectly reasonable.

Wow, you must just be that bad. I can make women speak languages i've never heard of.

OT: I'm gunna agree with Sue, ginormous doesn't even register as a real word on my spell check, yet its in... half the dictionaries?

Conscience used to annoy me when I was younger as far as spelling was conerned, until found the secret: Con + science!

As for should-be-fake; Cajoled, caterwaul, boondoggle, the list goes on.

Low Blow :p.

Unless that was really just coincidence.

(The book series I'm working on is called the Isles of Scion)

Course to be fair when I used the word I thought it wasn't a real word. I just made it up cause I thought it sounded nice.
