So, I unfortuantly cant remember the name of the project, but it was in a Popular Sciance Magizine last year, An when I saw it I though "Man, I hope that works. That is the closest in energy independance we will ever get AND keep the environment clean." What is this miricale tech you ask? Through the wonders of sciance, it is a machine about the size of a modern power plant that, upon activation, absorbs excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. What does it do with it? Well, it turns it into...OIL!! Thats right, it is a machine that creates oil from greenhouse gasses. And I hope this tech works, because think about it, oil would now be a renewable resourse, and burning it would create more oil rather than pollution. We could LITERALLY keep living the life we are now without changing anything, but we will stop polluting the Earth. Plus, this will weaken dictators in oil-rich countries. If oil becomes common again, there would be no reason to keep it expensive. Plus, countries like America, the UK, Germany, etc could build thier own plants, thus rindering mid-east oil useless.

So, any other interesting tech out there?

ps, It can be ANY tech, it doesnt have to be "green" tech

Not sure if it's the most interesting, but I do find it very interesting and I've got a video to go with it. It's the skin gun--a way to spray skin cells onto a severe burn with an airbrush, making an even coating that is much cleaner, much faster, much safer, and much easier than regular skin grafts. The burn is nearly unnoticeable after a matter of days, where regular skin grafts take weeks just to grow the replacement skin, and then months to heal once they've been placed (not to mention the high risk of infection throughout the healing process).

Here's the video, but look out, the images of the burns are pretty graphic.

Darn, a whole day and only one reply. That stinks.
Hey, no bumpin! Quit it! This is still an awesome thread though, it is a shame that this thread gets barely any replies when the latest "The police shot someone!" thread.

OT: I remember basically seeing a life sized remote control flying car on Top Gear once. It was inflatable so there really isn't any use for it than looking awesome.

Well this might not be the most interesting, but it definitely is interesting regardless. It is a 3D printer that turns colorless powder into any other object that can be scanned. It even replicates moving parts. The man in the video scans a wrench and prints an almost exact duplicate.

I know. D= why do they have to focus on the sad and evil thing like that unless this forum...is populated...by...physcos....um...*runs and grabs his dads shotgun*.

If another tread pops up about someone killing someone in self-defense, you know what happened!! I regret NOTHING!!!
