What (in your opinion) is the most dissapointing/irritating ending? After watching many movies, and playing many games, I kind of want to know what you all think.
This includes; Movies, Games, Books, TV shows, and any narrative.

Harry Potter's ending:
I wanted him to die!
What else? Erm... Bridge to Terrabithia? Ok I know the entire film is crap, but the ending just sucked.
And generally anything that ends with an 'it was all just a dream' type scenario.

Totally agree with L.A. Noire's ending, Saving Private Ryan's ending really killed me, it was so frustrating to watch >.<

The ending of No Country For Old Men. Seriously... what the hell? Maybe it made more sense in the book? I just don't know.

EDIT: Don't quote me and try to "explain the ending". I understand what happened just fine and I understand all the meaning behind what happened, but that doesn't stop it from being really irritating.

For a video game it's Halo 2 for me. Just when things felt like a Epic Battle was about to start they went.. Game Over...

The fifth ending for the first Drakengard game, it was a seriously "What in the flying fuck!?"

It didn't mesh with the game at all, and the final boss that route was a pain in the ass to beat on top of it.

Fallout 3's pre-broken steel ending, with power armour and rad-x the radiation in that damned chamber was far from lethal (2 rads per second if I remember correctly), you expect me to believe that the fucking radiation of all things killed me? I know this was meant to be a big martyr and all but this kind of drama only works when you know the death is really necessary... and come to think of it, this was a water purifier where in the name of God did that amount radiation come from? Did they decontaminate the water with fucking uranium?

AC1's ending almost made me rage quit the whole series. It's one thing to end on a cliffhanger, another to not even let us know what the FUCK is going on!

Just because this is on my mind - The ending to the Goblin starting quests in WoW.
I really wanted to love these quests. I really did. The premise behind each and every one was great, and it all seemed fun, until I was standing on a mount or floating with my feet frozen in the air. Blizzard, what the hell were you doing with the animations here? So many of them were just so bad! I got over that.
Then, in the final battle...what the hell. Seriously, these events and crap dialog made me think my character was going to wake up from a dream. It did not make any sort of sense.
At the end of the quests, you get on a boat, and head to the Orc capital. The boat doesn't leave on its own, you need to talk to one of the people on the boat to get it started. Now, I don't remember if the quest text told me which person to talk to, but I couldn't find them due to the boat being packed and her name not being highlighted. Took me forever to get a damn boat that should have just started on its own moving.

Dynasty Warriors 7. The ending for Wei. I love wei, I love all the generals. But man, I was really hoping it would go farther then just killing Guan Yu :\

The ending to Tomorrow never dies wasnt great sure stamper was killed properly but the guy who I'm going to call "Rupert Murdoch"(As they seem to have similar intentions) Was killed with his own drill and he just stands there and takes it instead of fighting Bond

The ending to Y-The Last Man was a bit of a let down...but then again so is life, and I think that was the point.

You think thats bad? The ending to Assassin's Creed 2 leaves you with more questions. And Brotherhood ends on such a "reallywtfWUT!" note that I'm convinced thats most of the reason players will by the next game.

Are you talking about the speech and dream? Its not terribly hidden symbolism. Tommy Lee is old and facing his own mortality. The main point is that he gave up.

There are lots of times where they darw parralells with the two characters. But in the end Tommy Lee Jones, gives up. He stops the chase. He retires. Very unhollywood. But he faced his fear when he storms the (empty) hotel room and after that point gives up and contemplates his own mortality. Very poetic. I loved it.

Having your other main character die off screen...thats a wierd choice. I think it implies that its not about him, a bit of how fleeting life is.
