I was just recently on Amazon and I bought the Metroid Prime Trilogy for $140.90. I am pretty sure that is the most I have ever played for a game. But when you break it down and it being a collectors Item, I am sure it is worth the money. I lent out Metroid Prime 1 and 3 and never got them back so I was quite angry. However soon in the mail. My favorite game ever will come :)

How about you gals and guys, fellow escapist and friends, what is the most amount of money you paid for a game or complimation of a game.

On the game itself? Reach, 80$ for the special edition. I NEEDED Halsey's Journal.

On a game when it comes to original purchase + extras? Probably Dragon Age: Origins. I have every bit of DLC for it save for those Feastday gifts.

Same, I was disappointed by Witch Hunt though... bit of a fucking Retcon. I spent the entire time Yelling at the screen "That's not what happened!!!"

£40 for the standard edition of most games. I wish I could afford the big fancy versions of stuff, but it's often a choice between game or eat as it is :(

Well I'm going to ignore WoW & subscription. I think the Orange Box was £30 on release? If it was, that. If not, Portal 2.

£75 on Halo: Reach limited edition. I was originally going to use the money to buy normal Halo and a months of Xbox live but dammit the allure of Doctor. Halsey was to great. Also Elite officer armor. Big shiny box as well

$65 on an original print copy of FFVII. I don't buy many current games; I mostly collect old(er) RPG titles. Thankfully, most of them aren't terribly pricy (unless you're talking a mint in the box FFIII). I lost out on Skies of Arcadia: Legends for just over $20 not long back (and I've been looking for that one forEVER).

$80 (plus tax and a $5 preorder fee, so it was actually probably closer to $90) for the Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition. Mostly worth it, especially with Dead Space: Extraction thrown in because I'm one of those intelligent and sexy PS3 owners. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go dismember my cat with my little baby plasma cutter.

Duke Nukem Forever: Balls of Steel Edition
Retail Price: $100
Reason for purchase: I wanted the Zen Balls that were supposed to come with it, and got shafted. Instead of the balls that were supposed to come with it, they were replaced with a plastic Duke bust. What a load of crap. Still, the game is alright by my standards, and some of the other bonuses were neat, like postcards (I collect them) and a Duke comic.

Probably at least $200 from WoW's expansions and monthly fees, but if dont mean MMOs, than i guess black ops for $60, it might not have been worth it.

Probably the Fallout 3 collector's edition, ran me 700DKK (about $140), or the StarCraft 2 Collector's edition, which ran me about the same (paid for shipping, though, too). Bought Fallout 3 again on steam a few days ago, though, which ran me an approximate $13, so that probably takes the cake. Totally and utterly worth it, though.

I've spent maybe 70$ in total on different Oblivion copies. First off, spent 20$ getting the GOTY PC version from Best Buy. Didn't particularly like it, sold it off. Then decided to get it on Steam for like 30$ packaged with Morrowind. Enjoyed it much more, but still liked Morrowind better. I bought the recent anniversary edition (And for anyone who is curious that already owns Oblivion, don't get it. It's a waste of money. The case is shit.) and I regretted it.
