Edit: Noticed it was missing the word food from the title, that is quite an important part of the thread I forgot to proof-read >.>

Just read the title, yeah.

I think mine is some tartare sauce that was 4+ Years out of date or some Wostershire sauce that was 10+ years out of date.(I found it a month ago so I cant remember the exact date, but I have a feeling it was 16+ years, so older than me)

I am smart enough to throw them away, eating them would result in illness of Biblical proprtions.

Post yours.

... Cant say much more...

I can only remember an incident at work when we found a sausage somewhere in spring 2009. The sausage was from January 2007.

Now that doesn't sound as epic as 10+ year old Worcestershire sauce, until you consider the fact that I work in a supermarket. We shouldn't even find things a day past the expiration date, let alone 2 damn years.

I wanted to open it, by some co-workers stopped me. I still regret not doing it.

At my friend's house, there exists a jar of maple butter cream that has been around for so long now, that even the mold that grew on the inside of it has hardened into a rocky mass.

And by "so long", I mean that this thing has been around for 12+ years.

We used to have an old unused fridge in the garage, it sat at the back just taking up space so one day we went to throw it out and we found a plastic tub of mayo in there. It had gone a weird yellow/green and the tub had blown so it looked more round than squeezy-bottle shaped.

I dunno how old it actually was but I opened it (for a dare) and the smell was so bad I was sick on the garage floor almost instantly.

We once found an 8 year old can of soup in the cupboard too. My dad opened it and gave the verdict "Not so bad, edible...probably".

I found six year old can of tuna in basement. It was in my dad's old military issued bag.

Tinned tomatoes that were at least 10 years old
Or at my mates half a cup of tea with biscuit that had been left for months in a broken microwave under his bed - The cup was full of mold. not just a thin layer but a fully evolved ecosystem. it may not be that old but it was pretty nasty to look at.

I helped clean a house some three\four summer months after the previous tennants had pretty much skipped the country (I knew the landlord and he said i could move in for the last month before school came back on if i cleaned the place out while at it)
So essentially with the electricity cut off, EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE went bad... man opening the shelves, with all that mold, was like getting a smack of a Breloom x.x;
