What is the most overrated movie of all time?

For me it has to be The Dark Knight. Why is that?

Reasons :

1) The Joker's plan is beyond human. He knows Batman is gonna save Harvey so he shoots a bazooka in the direction of Harvey's vehicle because he knows Batman is gonna jump out of nowhere to intercept the shot. He knows how quick Batman is and how a-little-less-quick the police is so that he can send Batman to save Harvey and send the police to fail to save Rachel. Joker is left in the interrogation room with a guard watching him from the inside, (the cop could watch him through the one way glass, you know the same way he watched him a couple of moments ago), he isn't handcuffed or transported to a cell because that would be too logical. He is left right to some pieces of glass which he will use to take a cop hostage.

2) Nolan wanted Dent's story to be more realistic (the comic book version was to crazy for Nolan) but he manage to make very unrealistic.

While a person could reasonably survive the burning, it is worth noting that it is not possible to leave the muscles and eyeballs exposed without the tissue becoming highly infected and necrotic (dying). Immediate surgery and skin would have been required. Harvey also makes facial expressions that are not possible, since his muscles are so badly damaged. It's also not possible for him to speak as clearly as he does, since half his lips and cheek are missing.

The big question is: Can Dent survive with his burnt face as much as he did in the movie?

The answer: His chances are very low (10%-2%) also even if he survives as log as he does, after 2 or 3 hours spent outside he will be so sick, he will not be able to walk.

3) At the bank:
Joker's man (the one he argued with) had no problem in shooting another clown (in just 2 seconds) but he waits like forever to shoot Joker.
Some people tried to defend that part saying:
"The Clown would want to see if he was right (if Joker wanted to shoot him), he wanted an answer, that?s why he waited."
But I say:
This is stupid, why would he want an answer; I mean at that point he realized that he couldn't trust anyone from his team, so an answer would be pointless.
Many people said that this is a nitpick, but actually it?s not, this scene is very important because Joker could die right at the beginning of the movie.
And for the possibility of Joker having a bulletproof vest, the movie never establish that, but if you want to assume that he had one any way, it would be only fair to assume that the others had bulletproof vests as well, so in order to kill each other they were using special bullets. In the end, saying that Joker had a bulletproof vest it?s not a good argument.

4) There is this video -Mod edit: Link removed. which also has many more reasons and also clips from the movie.

you pull out a few flaws and factual errors and say that those things make the film the most overrated piece of cinema in 130 years of filmmaking.
There is a video that helps my reasoning but the link was removed. The video could have made you understand why I awarded this title to the movie if you've watched it.
Still I want to know what is the most overrated movie of all time? (your opinion)

<link=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.826022-Poll-15-reasons-why-The-Dark-Knight-Rises-is-incredible-stupid>Oh hey. I remember you. This isn't one-track minded at all!

OT: To this day, I cannot understand why everyone is so impressed by Saw. It just... urgh. Yeah, it makes you think, but I've thought of similar questions while just sitting and staring at a wall. I didn't need an unpleasant movie to make me do it again.

Other and Up and Bug's Life, Pixar has been horrible.

Also, Thor, any GI JOE movie, the Lord of The Rings movies (They're good, but not the best fucking film that ever existed), so many more.

"The premise is as creepy as firetruck" may be the best thing I've read.

Also, repeating things over and over doesn't demonstrate your point very well...

Any Star Wars. I don't like them.
Any James Cameron. I can see how Avatar and Aliens can be seen as good although I didn't like them personally, but Terminator 2? I found it really lacking and not memorable at all.
Harry Potter 3. I like the films but this is considered the best, and to me it's the worst. It's just a drag and I never feel like watching the whole thing compared to the other films.
Shawshank Redemption. It's good, just not the best film ever made.
Godfather. I watched half an hour and turned off I was just so bored.

Recently? The Tree of Life.

I wanted to take a drill to my own head during that film. I hang out with a lot of other cinema fans and they would not shut up about how deep and complex it was. I found it manipulative drivel.

The Boondock Saints for sure. People praise it like it's the best action movie ever. I thought it was kind of stupid and the only good parts were Willem Dafoe and the scene where that dude accidentally killed the cat, because it was hilarious. But other than that it's stupid.

Wall-E. Sure, its cute (to the point of being saccharine); but its also packs a hamfisted environmental message (nothing wrong with the message, but its a really clumsy delivery), the human characters are pretty unrealistic and I really hated that it switches to real actors from time to time.

I'm gonna go right out there and say Pulp Fiction. Tarantino writes like a bloody child, and I'm sick of half-wits thinking he's some kind of guru, cause damn... Yeah, he is undoubtedly and auteur, but mainly of pretentious babble and inconsequential meanderings.

Inglorious Basterds. It was awful and slow. No redeemable qualities at all.

2001 A Space Odyssey. It was just really god damn slow. Seriously, that trippy wave thing near the end lasts like 5 minutes. So does the space walk, but that lasts even longer.

Citizen Kane.

Yes, I said it. It's boring. I haven't seen it in years and have never wanted to, since. Not a fan in the slightest.

Stanley Kubrick movies in general are overrated, in my opinion at least. They might have good points but they tend to be too long and slowly/poorly paced. 'Full Metal Jacket' could have easily been cut in half (focusing just on the boot camp training). 'A Clockwork Orange' could have been trimmed by about half an hour, or more, and still been good. I was only able to stand half of 'Barry Lyndon' and found it soul-crushingly slow and boring.

Avatar, but this one I don't know if we can call it overrated, yes it's rated 7.9 on IMDB with is a lot, but a lot of people know it doesn't deserve that much.
I feel like it was horribly over-rated when it came out, but people have realised it wasn't all that great and the gimmick of 3D has turned sour.
It won't be remembered, though, and it seems most people at this time consider it just kinda okay.

I second Avatar. I even saw it in 3D and that just made it more disappointing.

I found Schindler's List to be over-rated. Yes, it was dramatic and moving, but it felt like that was just what the movie was trying to.
