There called Lightbulbs

No, they really exist, and my mother bought one.
Its a tiny bulb in a wax candle base, meant to simulate real flame.
It just never burns down. Ever.
And you have to replace the batteries from time to time.

I would say the whole "face finder" feature that they have on a number of digital cameras these days. Sure, it's software rather then an actual gadget, but still.

Pretty much this. How do you get more useless than a device that produces light powered by sunlight?

Well wait a minute, if it uses something like a capacitor as most solar powered items do which are used to STORE electricity..then it's actually pretty useful. Leave it in the sun to charge it and then use it when you need too
