The Pen!

It's a pencil that you can't erase, runs out and leaks everywhere, it also can't work in space! Why do we use it?
The pen does work in space, Stephen Fry told me so.
The mechanism relies on gravity. Try writing with almost any pen upside down, and after the ink has flowed away from the nib, which may take a few minutes, it will stop writing.

The sleeping bag suit. 90GBP for a sleeping bag... which you can run around in, for a start you look like a pillock, especially in the yellow version.

A fountain pen relies on gravity. A biro or similar pen just relies on air pressure, and will work upside down or in a space capsule. I've just tried one upside down and it works.

Or you could make a vacuum based pen, where dispensing ink from the tip will leave a vacuum behind it sucking ink towards the front from the back of the pen. I call it space pen, or a spen for short. I'm so smart.

Spelling and proper grammar. No one follows the basic rules so why bother.
If we got rid of it, the world would turn to madness!

OT: Twitter I think. It's basically offering everything facebook has to offer, but makes it even harder to the whole social thing. Don't quote me on that, because it's just a casual observation; I've never actually used it.

You cant write a cheque or a legal document with a pencil; it would easily lead to fraud. You cant write an essay or exam paper with a pencil; someone could easily change your answers in the paper.

The pen does have its uses :) and a paper written in pen looks a lot more professional and smarter than one written in pencil.

Biros have very thick and sticky ink, and the cartridge is very thin, so it just takes a very long time for the ink to flow to the wrong end. Leave one upside down for a few days, then try again.

Just about every technological innovation after the 70s, Why?

Because the 70s was awesome.

with a car made today, if you hit someone; they would just bounce over the top.
But with a car made in the 70s, you'd teach that 'tard for running in front of you without giving good warning.

And vynals are way better then CDs and MP3s

You are incorrect, but I really can't be bothered to put any more effort into trying to explain it to you.
Except to say you should look up 'capillary action'.

(Insert Console Here). I are so witty.

OT: For me, it's a three way tie!

The Pistol Bayonet (Tired of stabbing people from a distance with bullets?)

Digital Rights Management (I payed for it, it's MINE, ya mingebag.)

The "Loaded Chamber" indicator that some handguns are equipped with. A gun is ALWAYS loaded, especially when you 'know' it's empty. Having a mechanical device (That can fail), pop out and say "Hey, there's a bullet in me" makes people ignore proper gun safety, which is going to get people killed.
