Does real life count? I hear it's got over 6 billion subscribers with more every second. But you're only allowed to play it for about 80 years or so before your account deletes itself. Oh, and the graphics are just amazing. The details are stunning, but I'm not sure if I'm such a fan of the high amounts of bloom used and annoying story and gameplay mechanics. And the physics are exactly what you'd want from it, no more no less.

Can't believe no one's mentioned Red Orchestra yet. Tanks require separate drivers and gunners, and can only be crewed by tank driver classes, bolt action rifles require you to actually pull back the bolt, and getting shot in the arm makes you drop your weapon.

Edit: Woot, gone gonzo.

I don't know. Half-Life 2 seems to have pretty good physics.
But overall realism, I'd have to say S.T.A.L.K.E.R. gets it, it hates everyone that plays it so much.

The Simbin's GTR and GTLegends racing games are the most realistic racing sims out there. Not perfect visually, but they don't let you race with a gamepad which immediately makes them more realistic than anything on a console. (You can't race a car with a gamepad.) I'm sure there's a flight sim out there that kicks their ass though.

Probably ARMA 2, from what the demo showed my.

Didn't have much fun with it, unfortunately.

played the demo for Heavy Rain last night, it's pretty damn realistic, besides the detective work.

Crysis is far from realistic IMO. Far Cry 2 nailed it better but they're both still a little too 'happy-bright-glowy' to be considered ultra-realistic.

AA: America's Army (I think that is what the game is called).

It sees you pick up the controller and it says "So, you think you are good at this stuff? Well guess again, you little shit!" It shows me how effective I probably would be in an actual combat scenario: not very.

a lot of people have named very good ones ARMA and Operation flashpoint are pretty good

one that I think a lot of people are missing is America's Army a game designed by the army to replicate training as realistically as possible, not to mention it's one of the few games ou there where your gun actually jams realistically (aka not very often) and you need to fix it.

remember your S.P.O.R.T.S.

F1 2006- Group C mod.

Even with a steering wheel set with a clutch pedal it's freaking hard. The first few times I played it even getting off the line beat me, I just burnt the clutch, then I'd getting the gears wrong in the braking zones and spin, then I over rev in corners and blow it up, then... then...

It's hard work driving a 'full simulation' of a 1980s GT car...
