I know this is a little unrelated, but I have to mention it.
I was talking to my friend who knows a fair amount about films, but doesn't really...KNOW alot. As in he thought She's the Man was very entertaining but couldn't watch more than ten minutes of There Will Be Blood as he thought it was dull.
And we were talking about that new movie the Wrestler (he's a huge wrestling fan) and how Micky Rourke is up for an academy award, and I said "yeah, that's awesome."
BUT THEN he went on to say "And that's cool, because they're way better than the oscars, oscars are just for whatever is like, more popular at the time, where as academy awards are given to things that are genuinely good." And went on for literally five minutes about how much better the academy awards are compared to the oscars.
I couldn't bare to tell him what he was saying didn't make a blind bit of sense, but it was excruciating haha.

Seriously though, I have heard some pretty stupid stories about Mew. Like how you can push the Truck outside the S.S. What'sitcalled if you have a ridiculously specific party, all at level 100 without using the rare candy cheat, the there are stairs under it leading to a room containing a Mew Pokeball.

I've heard enough of that one. Even more extreme, a friend of mine told me, a year after it came out, that the Orange Box was bad because it was old. I kid you not.

Seriously, the games are awesome. On a flight not too long ago the console in the back of the seat had pokemon on it and I was having the time of my life! Yeah the TV show was pretty wank and the sea of merchandise was overboard but the games are pretty solid IMO.

I've heard some people claim that "Nintendo Hard" is only due to crappy controls, graphics, etc. but then I point out that the Super Mario games, Bionic Commando, etc. were hard as hell without it just being due to sloppy controls or whatever.
