Cosplayed as Xemnas at and anime/comin convention.
Wrote fanfiction.

Went shopping with some friends for new clothes. All I could think was, "What stats would these give me if I was in a videogame?"

I'm pretty sure there's more. My life is full of these moments.

I played Oblivion for 37 hours straight. Now whenever someone normal would say Jesus Christ or Oh My God, I say "BY THE NINE DIVINES!"

I can't stop.

I'd be hard-pressed to keep track for all-time dorkiness. I mean, I came up with a variant of time travel theory that would work perfectly for comic books, allowing for a large variety of retcons and time travel stories to play out. (It also allows for the Can't Kill Hitler time travel problem)

But today?

I said that a vampire could "tcl" out of a situation.

...it's... it's a commonly used debug command. Toggle Clipping. I was... it... they can turn to mist and...

I guess for me it's a lot of things.

I will purposely try to get into things that are considered nerdy/geeky to see if I get some enjoyment out of things.

Got me into Magic the Gathering and this site.

Hard to say. Between sleeping through my one Dungeons and Dragons game and religiously play Runescape for a good few years... Even though the latter scored me a girlfriend.

A friend and I spent an entire days worth of conversations doing nothing but quote lines from movies and Tv shows.

Examples include lines from: Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly, Stargate, Battlestar Gallactica, ect, ect, the list goes on.

It was insanely difficult to do it, not only with a straight face, but find the lines that fit into the conversation we were having at the time... We got a lot of funny looks from the people we were talking to.
I do that as often as I can find someone to keep up. Do you name the movie / show after each line?

And for me, since at both conventions and online, also as a contributor in print, the geekiest thing I do is introduce myself as either a professional game master or staryteller, as I did that and contribute to White Wolf Games
Actually, Daniel and I usually leave it up to the people we're talking to to figure out which show/movie the line's from, because WE personally, already know it. As I said, we got a LOOOOOT of funny looks that day. It was pretty amazing.

Either having a nerdgasm at the club when I met someone who was wearing the Doomsday Arcade Tie or Having another when he let me wear it at my New Years Eve Eve party. He might read this, actually..

"Hi! Thanks for that! :D"

And remember, this was at a club with mostly clubbing people around and at a party where only 4 of us out of the 45 attending had been to the escapist at that point.

I'd definitely say it would have been two weeks ago at an anime convention when I made an 8-bit sword and dressed up like Red Mage. And then again at one in the morning that same night when the entire group I was with all went to Wendys, all still in cosplay.

Either the fact that I play an incredible amount of wahammer 40k or that I had an 18 hour anime binge only stopping to recieve food from the oven or go to the toilet.

Started playing Warhammer 40k... you know, the ACTUAL thing with little plastic dudes you paint ^_^
hey i just picked that up a few weeks ago myself! what army you playing as?

and that is probably the geekiest thing I've done to this date, i really gotta put more time into geeky ventures, im behind schedule!
I've started collecting the Tau ^_^ I started about 2-3 weeks ago. Ebay is wonderful :D although I do buy my paints and brushes from the proper store.
no frigging way! my friend showed me a store a few weeks ago and since then i have been going back weekly collecting Tau myself! due to financial issues i only have 1 squad of fire warriors with the base coat done, but soon i should be getting quite a few more units. (a little over a thousand points worth in base cost, not counting wargear/kroot armor saves etc.) it all depends on when the paycheck gets here.

and personally i prefer to order them from the games workshop site through the store so that the store i go to makes profit. and soon i heard that will be the only way to get them besides P2P transactions, because store owners complained that they did all the work getting new players, but got no money when they ordered and built their armies from online.

I'd have to say going to the London MCM Expo last saturday to be honest, yeah.
Oh, how was it? I kinda gave up on the London MCM a few years ago because it got dreadfully boring.

OT: Being a research scientist, my existence is a definition of 'geek' with capital letters (though having a pocket sized periodic table in my wallet epitomises that).

On the nerd side, two things come to mind:

The first time I played KotOR, I finished it in three marathon sessions. The third one, I got so immersed that after a few hours, I stopped to quick save, went into the final boss fight and died just after the last vat had been force smashed, 'cos I got stunned three times in a row. Yeah, I broke my keyboard...

The other was an argument I had with a self-professed Star Wars nerd, regarding the manner in which, during their fight, Anakin Skywalker cut off Count Dooku's hands. Bear in mind, demonstrations were involved. And I won... after youtube adjudication.

Let's see:

I wrote a Halo fanfiction for my High School Senior Project. I obviously have some writing talents, because I passed the presentation and graduated.

I also wrote/am in the process of writing a semi-Black Lagoon fanfiction to explain the background of my Shadowrun character, who is very closely based on Revy Two Hands. I write it for two reasons:
1. Revy's character is very intriguing to me. She's gone from a complete psycho to a hardass with an itchy trigger finger. I want to nail it down for roleplaying in Shadowrun.
2. If you were as bored as I was and for some reason you wanted to write about something, you'd write about anything regardless of how lame it sounds.

I've also gotten into debates with people about the SPARTAN project and the history of events in the Halo Universe. I run a Rooster Teeth group called The Halo Scholars.
