It seems we all have something that makes someone ask WTF is that? I ask because I'm watching a movie called "The Killing of John Lennon" and I have a picture of me as a baby being held by Mark David Chapman.

For a time he was here working with the Vietnamese refugees in the late 70's and he attended some of the parties my parents went to so he came to my 2nd birthday party. I know the pic is probably worth something, but for some reason I keep it as a reminder to not get hung up on things (as Chapman did with Lennon and Catcher in the Rye). It's weird having it and finding it years later when moving. Lennon was always an idol of mine and asking my parents what that picture was about was just a surreal moment.

But anyway, what is your weird/odd item?

I think its probably my Cthulhu.
An ex and me both had a thing for Lovecraft, and i saw this Cthulhu sitting in some obscure shop in town. It was a couple of weeks before here birthday, so i figured i would get it for her as a little extra present.
Not long after that she broke up with me, and we didn't finish on the best terms so I figured, why should i give it to her? and now it is sitting on top of my stargate collection, looking at me, almost like its mocking me.

A fur ushanka I guess. I wore it to berlin when they were celebrating the anniversity of the wall being torn down. I was standing really close to gorbachev when he was waving to the crowd. I saluted him back :D. Also got to see Bon Jovi playing about 12 ft away. That was a cool night.

I have a broken hockey stick; broken by Mike Rathjee and signed by Arturs Irbe. It loses it's impressiveness when I have to explain who they are.

God, that is strange.

As for me, a shamans staff from a remote tribe in Papua New Guinea. We had a bit of it carbon analysed, and it's definitely more than 800 years old. My grand uncle gave it to my dad, he had received it because when he was there, working as a missionary, the tribal leader came down with malaria. He managed to cure him, whereas his shaman could not. His shaman gave the staff to my uncle as a mark of honour.
That is the most awesome story I've read all day.

A Chinese instrument made from a dried pumpkin and three reeds.
It sounds a bit like a clarinet.
