Ocarina of Time. I missed it in stores, but luckily a friend let me have his copy about seven years later.

I never throw stuff away, that being said, things oft go missing. At the moment I still have my glorious copy of Super Metroid, I think Super Mario Land is around about the house too.

Fantasy General - still one of the most entertaining strategy games ever :).
I waited for this game to come out, counting down the days. I'm huge into fantasy, love turn-based, and it's from my beloved SSI! Bought it day one, rushing home to install, played for like fifteen minutes, and then the crashes begin. By the time the patches started rolling in I was already so frustrated with this game, it was many, many years before I gave it another shot. And by then, it just couldn't compete with Brigadine.

Hmm...
Just went through my classic Mac games collection, and it turns out I have the ORIGINAL Castle Wolfenstein game.
NOT Wolfenstein 3D, this Wolfenstein:
Yeah, it was made in 1984...

I have Monopoly from the 1950's, whether that counts is up for discussion.
Don't see why a board game shouldn't count, as long as you're saying your actual game is that old. Not that you just happen to own a new copy of an old game.

My oldest board game excluding my dad's chess set he doesn't know I have would be Cosmic Encounters. My friends got me hooked on that game in high school so I ordered a copy of it. That was over 15 years ago and it's probably only been played a half-dozen times. Yet I hold on cause one day will come!
