The oldest game I played at or shortly after the release was Duckhunt for the Super Nintendo. Great game.

Tenchu. What a brilliant game that was, although I can't even look back at it now. Dodgy controls, camera angles that make me want to kill myself. I don't remember why I put myself through all that! (Tenchu 2's great though!)
