The rarest game I own is Tales of Vesperia, and it probably isn't actually rare, but the only copy I ever saw was in a small local game shop and I took my opportunity and bought it. None of the other games I have were like this.

The very first Samurai Shodown on the SNES

I can't play it since I no longer own a functioning SNES, but I still treasure that thing.

Well, I have original copies of Alpha Centauri and Alien Crossfire, and probably a few other games I don't remember at the moment.

On The Ball (I believe the Japanese title was "Camel Try," for some reason), a physics-puzzle for the SNES, I'm the only one who's ever heard of it.

No-one has ever heard of it. Ever. I'm So so so glad my dad bought it for me super cheap when i was a wee lad.

I probably have plenty of rarer games but none that people actually would consider good.
I saw that for $60 at a used game store, you are very lucky.

OT: I have Skies of Arcadia Legends which is a game for the gamecube, and is not in print anymore. I also Have the metallic FF12 collectors edition. Ultimate Muscle Generations, Gungrave 1&2, NFS Most Wanted Black Edition, and Shinobi for PS2.

I also really really really really want Tail Concerto for the PS1 but it's incredibly rare :(

It's because they are all in Michigan. I frequent a used game store up here and I kid you not they have like ten of the fuckers, mostly before greatest hits, all for about $40. They also have Clock Tower for $30 that I would like to get.

Also almost all of these ps1 games you guys are talking about I've seen at that store (Disc Replay)

EDIT: I was trying to quote the guys who were talking about ff7 but clicking quote didn't registar I guess....

Can be from any console, any year, regular or special edition. All it needs to be is considered rare. (By you or internet)

Mine is Exhumed on the PSOne, an early FPS set in Egypt, and any Zero Punctuation followers may have actually heard Yahtzee mention it in his Turok review somewhere. Cost me 9 pounds.. currently one on eBay as we speak for 25 pounds.

What be your's gentlemen and ladies?
The original Ghost in the Shell, Jade Cocoon, System Shock II original cd and box), Thief 1 and 2 (original box), Parasite eve, Fear Effect 1 and 2, grandia, Legacy of Kain: Blood omen.

I have heard of it! It's based on Tron Bonne from MegaMan Legends (or MegaMan 64). You may now rest easy.

My rarest is probably Ico. It's actuall a promo copy and has no instruction manual, but I still have a copy. My next target is Shadow of the Collosus

does anyone own a GC version of twilight princess?
No, but there was one in a CeX in my town ages ago, but I think it's gone. £40 that game sold for! I was thinking of buying it until I saw the price (screw the Wii controls!)

Did we really just ressurect a thread from 2009? Why not start another. After 3 or 4 months it usually passes the search bar approved nazis. =)

I have way too many to list all, here are a couple though:
Panzer Dragoon, Zwei and Saga (Sega Saturn)
Shining Force III (Sega Saturn)
Enemy Zero (Sega Saturn)
Pac-Man (Atari 800, with Box)

Silent Hill for PS1, which I believe is quite hard to find.

Team Buddies, also for PS1, only 2 on Ebay at the time of posting one selling for £50!

Chase the Express, a very fun game (or I think so, it's one of my favourites) for the PS1. Says rare on Ebay but there are plenty of copies there. I have never seen it anywhere else though.

I also own legitimate copies of Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds for PC and PS1 as well as the BBC Doctor Who game, Destiny of the Doctors.
