A lot of things. I have no specific genre i enjoy. I've even heard a fair bit of rap i have enjoyed.

However the shit that people now associate with rap such as the two people I mentioned disgust me as they are pretty much just about drugs, screwing women, ridiculing and demeaning women, money, and how much of a bad ass they are.

I don't enjoy it. Thus why i said Rap that calls itself gangster etc. Because that's not rap but rather a sub genre. Just like Punk Isn't emo. Or the fact the both of those are a sub genre of Rock.

Are you kidding me!? These are PURE GENIUS compared to the garbage they release today. Hip Hop used to be about havin' fun. There used to actually be some musical depth to it along with the lyrics. Now it's all single uninspired techno drum beat with no harmonies or breakdowns and nonsensical lyrics about how much money they have and all the women they degrade and dehumanize.

I didn't say they weren't classic, but they are kinda dumb, as in supremely geeky.

I've never seen anyone not even TRY to form words in a music video before, I mean I've heard unclear vocalists, but nothing on this guy's level. I'd compare him to something, but I'd be offensive and very un PC if I did.


This guy has a record deal, and thousands of talented songwriters the world over are working their nuts off performing in crappy bars for $20 + drinks a night.

I'm in full agreement however that writing off a whole genre because some stuff is stupid is more stupid than the music you're criticising.

Don't like Miley Cyrus and Justin Beiber? Best we get rid of the Beatles then, same 'pop genre', hell the Beatles were a boy band.

Obviously I'm not defending crappy pop, I'm just saying you can't write off pop ( or rap, or metal, or any genre) just because there's a few bads or artists you don't like, or who lack artistic merit. There's always gonna be people only there for the money.

I should say I was a huge metal fan in the 80s and early 90s, but I got a job in a music store, and being forced to listen to a range of music really helped me widen my musical tastes, if you're sat in one genre, ignoring all others, all you're doing is limiting your own pleasure for no reason.

As a metal fan, I'm sure I could name a dozen metal bands who come across as mindless grunting and shouting while the rest of the band just hit their instruments as fast as they can. I also know there's genuine art and beauty in the genre.
