I skipped most of my senior year but I was sick with mono. I would get out of bed, get dressed, get to school and fall asleep in my car. Almost didn't graduate.

I wasn't able to make it to school one day because the bus couldn't make it up the hill due to the 3 feet of snow we got but that wasn't really my fault.

I graduated while pregnant with my son. Going to school while pregnant isn't easy, I don't recommend it. Especially if you get hit with months of 24/7 "morning" sickness like I did.

Anyway, a situation arose about a month and a half before graduation, and I spent most of the night in the ER with an IV in my arm. Said arm ended up being one solid bruise by the end of the experience.

I got a doctor's note on my way out, because I knew there was no way I'd be able to go the next day. When I did return, my first period teacher took one look at my arm and sent me to my principal. Said it looked like I'd been shooting up. Principal sent me to the attendance lady to get my note back, and then sent me home for the day while awaiting verification from the hospital that the note wasn't faked.

Hard to say, as I miss 99% of my appointments. Still, missing out because of a hangover remains one of the stupidest reasons. I remember a mate of mine couldn't perform because he was too f*cked from last night's xtc binge. Luckily another friend and brilliant improviser bass player could fill in, but we kicked the aforementioned wanker out.

Using the same alarm clock for too long. After a few years of shutting off that annoying noise every single morning, I will inevitably learn to do it in my sleep.
This is my problem. Its why I have to use my cell phone now and change the ringtone every few weeks. I get so used to snoozing that I do it in my sleep. My father often complained that my alarm would go off at 8 and I would snooze it every ten minutes til noon or later, and I would never remember actually doing it.
I solved it by placing my new alarm clock at the other end of the room, so I have to actually get out of bed before turning it off.
I've actually tried that. My room is small enough that I can get up, stumble over to the alarm and snooze it, trip over something and make it back to my bed still asleep. What I want to buy is this alarm clock I saw that has a mini helicopter bit on it. When the alarm goes off, it shoots the helicopter bit off which spins for a bit then lands in a random area of the room, the alarm will not turn off until you put the thing back in the launcher.

I skipped class once, and ended up being a witness of a suicide, and helping two South African man to get to a certain train station.
Wait, what? Seriously, what?
Am I missing something?
No, that's basically it. And it all happened on the same day.
Wait, did you help the two men get there so they could die? Or did you see some random guy suicide and then help the two.

Well, because my FUCKING bus would always be FUCKING 30 minutes FUCKING late or 30 minutes FUCKING early because our LAZY ASS bus driver couldn't bother to be on FUCKING time, do you understand that I'm still FUCKING pissed off about this?

Or because I was sick as all hell and I went to school only to have to stay throughout the entire day, this happened multiple times.

OH YEAH, never have been late with a morning wank.

I once woke up at 4pm and realised that I was supposed to have been in college that day. I hadn't slept in what felt like a week so it's semi-understandable.

A bus went over the side of a bridge and landed on top of a train.

The the most stupidest reason, but [HEADING=2]MOST AWESOME[/HEADING]

[sub]Noone was hurt except for one guy at the back of the bus who got lauched from the back to the front[/sub]

I suppose the responsible side of me would argue the stupidest reason I ever missed school was so I could play video games.

I was damn good at fake sickness.

my brake line (i'm a cyclist, see) snapped on a really steep hill, i landed in some bushes. not only was i scratched up and bruised pretty badly but i was covered in burrs. (annoying sticky plant seeds)

i was an hour and a half late for collage because i went to hospital to get patched up.

i would have been later, but it was on the way to the collage so i suppose it could have been worse.

The bus doesn't necessarily have enough change for £20, in fact it usually wouldn't, and even if it did, it would run out of change for everyone else by the end of the day (they have to carry their own floats). If you don't have anything smaller than a tenner you need to break a note. Any bus driver who does change something that big is probably using his own cash and recounting his float to account for it.

I had to bail out on some bro's becuase some idiot caused a car crash, if you've played the insurance fraud missions in Saints Row 2 it was just like that, some guy tried to leap in front of a car, it hit him and he went rolling off, instantly he was talking about going to court with the driver over it, not in pain, not asking for an ambulance but a fucking lawyer.

So I had to stick around for the police/ambulance to arrive. I felt really bad because the driver was worried sick, he hadn't had an accident while driving ever before, he's being threatenend with law suits etc. I gave a statement to the police, there was no doubt in my mind this guy wanted to get hit by a car. I was never contacted about it again so I assume it never even got to a trial.

I once couldn't go to school because there were aggressive magpies between me and the train station. Plus, I didn't really feel like going that day.

I had a double lesson at the end of the day (2 hours) and was going in from home, a few months ago. 2 minutes after I'd left my house to go to the bus stop and on came the torrential rain, so I carried on to the bus stop (another 10 minutes) - by the time I'd got there I had soaked through 3 layers of clothing and still had another 5 minutes (at least, likely more since buses are never on time) to go until the bus turned up. After that I'd have had 30 minutes sitting on a bus soaking wet, 2 hours trying to pay attention in a History class whilst soaking wet, and then 40 minutes on the way back on the bus, soaking wet.

"Fuck it."

The "stupidest reason" part comes in when I emailed my teacher, who obviously interpreted "torrential rain" as "minor drizzle".

Well, there was this really attractive girl that wanted to hangout all day, I deemed her more important than my academics
