Canada will have taken over large chunks of the USA, and the east and west coast will have split up into completely differrent countries (Americi and Americu, respectively), Mexico will also have taken back large swatches of its land, though not all. South America will have unified into a single nation. On to Europe! The UK will remain strong, although Ireland will gain independence, but most of Eastern Eurpoe will be taken over by Germany. In Asia, China will both gain and lose lands. Africa will be over its revolutionary stage, with Egypt and South Africa rising to become major world powers, while other, smaller countries will form an alliance, politically and finacially,(basically just an agreement to give support,) which will also work out pretty well, and the alliance as a whole will become important to the world economy. Australia will just be the same.

So that's my map! yeah...

As a geopolitical strategist, this thread stinks. I refuse to even consider a global revolution, even if I might have preferences for certain nations, but even if we list our dreams, they will only be shattered when they do not happen. Better to not think of such things, consider the present situation and adapt ourselves to it.

I imagine this thread will either die out fairly quickly, or be filled with anti-American sentiment; and yes, I realize that this may be a joke thread, but for some reason, it's still getting to me.

Hypothetical situation: The collapse of the International Money Market.

Greece and Ireland's dire economic situation drag the other European countries down with them, soon other nations gain massive deficits, starting with the smaller Balkans countries and moving up to France, Italy, and Spain.
Germany just about manages to hold on, because of their high levels of industry and by quitting the Euro just in time and establishing a new currency (The Hasslehoff)
The U.K. hastily leave the E.U. and just manage to stay afloat with their pounds sterling... For now.

The Euro collapses. This leaves most European countries without a proper currency, and most regress to bartering systems. Several countries become police states in order to keep the peace. The Scandanavian countries fair extremely well, bartering their excess power from the renewable energy sources for food and luxuries, Russia and the Middle Eastern countries also earn great profits from their fossil fuel sources.

The American and Japanese stock markets, while declining steadily during this strife, take a massive nose dive due to the fall of the Euro, and this heralds America to begin forcing the collection of debt repayments from various countries that they have lent money to. (mainly African nations) This stabilises the dollar... for about a month. Then China and Japan demand repayment of their debt, the Uk gets in on the deal later, and America is quickly bankrupted, the economy moves back to the gold standard, and the rich/poor margin skyrockets. American public outcry and riots force America to deploy their own army against the rioters, and, backed by the weapons, the politicians quickly change the constitution to ensure they have more power and the people less freedom. America becomes a police state.

China and Japan have become extremely rich due to the American money. China uses it's superior numbers and advanced military tech to immediately invades Japan and homogenises their wealth. North Korea, lead by Kim Jong Un, decides to attack China to take over their power, and after a very bloody war lasting about 6 months, North Korea is defeated and homogenised by China. South Korea piddles its pants, and quickly signs a trade agreement with China.

Africa is ravaged by disease, drought, and war and doesn't have any international help. South America fairs much better, most people move back to subsistance farming, and the Rainforest is cut up mercilessly for farmland and fuel.

The Western countries almost regress to their state during the industrial revolution. Factories are once again all over cities, mass producing goods to be export cheaply to the decadent Middle East (what a turn around!) and with food prices skyrocketing farming is incredibly lucrative. Virtually all Europes forests are systematically cut down to grow crops, which are rarely exported.

Canada's large amount of natural resources and connection to the UK meant they have survived quite well, exporting their highly desirable wares to the USA. Unfortunately this also makes them a highly desirable target. After a tense military buildup on both sides (with the UK bringing their military forces in) the USA invades Canada, but although they have clear aerial superiority and are able to lay waste to many of Canada's cities, their ground troops are hampered by the terrain and weather, and forced into a stalemate. America tries to nuke Toronto but the missiles are destroyed mid-flight. British nuclear submarines travel to within the range of Washington DC and an uneasy truce is agreed. America withdraws, invades and conquers Mexico.

And that's what will happen over the next 20 years. Remember, you heard it here first folks!

Well, I'm working on a story for a script, and it happens after a second cold war. The results were:

All of the Americas become one super-dystopian nation. Asia has united as well, but under a nuclear dictatorship. The rest of the world is in ruin.

Suddenly, apocalypse out of f****** nowhere.

You never specified what revolution we were talking about.

I'll go with the world in 1984 according to Orwell.

Although the scenario in FPS Homefront is also 'likely'.

almost completely incorrect.

If the economic collapse of the EU occurs and the union fractures the only plausable outcome will be War.

stable countries such as the UK and Germany will abandon the EU as it sinks into financial collapse and eventually. But such an act will be held with great resentment in the rest of the union. eventually the remaining countries, through agressive political movements, will come closer together and view the countries that abandoned the EU as traitors and seek retrobution through war.

the US will respond to her NATO allies being attacked and will gain a huge profit in the process and Russia will make a few bucks on the side selling off cheap weapons, oil, and munitions off to the struggling EU countries. Eventually absorbing some of the weaker bordering countries.

China, after the economic collapse of the EU and depression of the US will also crash economically. however such a collapse in China will lead to wide spread riots and several coups. like it always does.

In the event of Global revolution/ war Switzerland will rule supreme. Now don't give me that look.
1. They will stay neutral and now waste any many power or whatever fighting, also poeple wont invade them.
2. The have access to the super collider, and who knows what other super advanced technology

As such when the dust settles on the battle field and the rest of the worlds countries are in ruin the Swiss role out with their super robot soldiers and take over the world

It's going to look a lot like France, no doubt.
It will also do wonders for the economy. Ever noticed that before both world wars the economy was in the shit and then after the war the economy swiftly recovered? Now the economy is in the gutter again, so logically what we need is a world war, amirite?

My vote? Blast away the US first since it is currently the biggest fucker on the economy. China and Russia will follow because they are too damn big. Greece and North Korea needs to be taken down too because they are too unstable (Greece is an economical time bomb and North Korea is bat shit insane). We then need to deal with the wide spread corruption in Africa and in the Jungles of South America. Then we expel all forms of dictatorships and royalty world-wide for good measure. We then deal with over populated areas, mostly in Asia, but also in Europe, Africa and in the Americas. We then overhaul exploited areas - in particular developing, or generally poor countries that have no voice because they are oppressed by richer first-world countries. After that we completely disband all current forms of government and elect officials from the currently most successful diplomatic and welfare driven countries to start rebuilding a world that we all can actually be proud to live in and do our best to create opportunities to flourish while still suppressing capitalist ideals.

Canada, Norway, Sweden and Finland would be good candidates for the NEw WORld Coalition (NEWORC) to be in the forefront of the restoration program!

Problem?

I would view the scenery a lot like the Fallout games. The war will have ravaged the lands and it will revert the world to a time before much of the technology we had. New nations would form, through feudalism at first, then the empires would come about. Island nations would be pillage and have resources drained.
Most empires would stay within their own continent as travel/communication would be too difficult. I think that Australia, however, would be left mostly intact if they stayed neutral and closed the borders. Thus it would be the only country capable of cross-continental colonization. (I'm an American, mind you, so this isn't some form of nationalism.)
It would be a dark, bloody 200 years or so, but then things would return to essentially the same, albeit with different super powers.
