Honestly...I'm game for anything. I don't think there is a cross-over that couldn't work. That being said though, I have a few that could easily failed if done by the wrong people such as...

Edward and, Bella go to the Jersey Shore

Well I remember that Power Rangers cross over with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (The Next Mutation) and there was also that Power Ranger cross over with Masked Rider aka Kamen Rider. The reason why I think those two cross overs were bad since they neve utalize both characters potientals.

All crossover read like bad ideas on paper. Making a Batman/Spawn crossover is as much of a bad idea as a Star Trek/ Back to the Future crossover. What makes things like this work are writers that can do something with the dumb concept and make it work. IDW's is doing a Doctor Who/ Star Trek: the Next Generation crossover as we speak. This sounds terrible, but it can work.

DC's New 52 reads mostly like "what if you cross over the DC Comics with Image Comics?" What you get turns out to be the grimdark version of the Amalgam universe. That fundamentally alters the universe because means there are very few good guys in the universe. Granted some of the heroes still do things because its the right thing to do, but that also means that a lot of people do things because no one else can.

I know Fanfics won't count, but there's an Evangelion 40K crossover which is a lot better than it has any right to be.

I nominate Final Fantasy and Call of Duty, along with Harvest Moon with Mortal Kombat. Because I don't know if those would be terrible crossovers or awesome crossovers.

I know what the BEST and MOST RIDICULOUS crossover would be:

The Monopoly guy takes over Candyland, in a dark gritty reboot directed by Tim Burton! Small children must face both the evil licorice vampire guy and the depressing reality of capitalism in their quest to return Candyland to rule under its old Monarchy and save the little girl with the lollipop forest thing.

OT I'd say Beast Wars and Transformers. I know they're in the same universe, but Beast Wars is superior in every way. Would Optimus Primal be impressed with Prime's cheesy speeches? Fuck no.

Aliens and Predators. I Love Aliens, and I love Predators... but everyone who has every brought them together, bar AvP games (not the recent one) has laughed in the face of the lore. In fact, they laughed so hard, they created a lore of their own.

And that lore is fucking retarded.

Can't wait to see Prometheus to see how Scots reverse continuity works out. I liked Predators evolution of the Predator Lore... but the AVP films were just painful, either making Predators too wussy or completely ignoring established Alien biology.

EDIT: And don't get me started on the Comics. Those things were just horrid... like piss poor fan fiction with a small budget behind it.
