Velvet Assassin.

Hate it with passion. The stealth and stealth kill mechanics were shoddy at best but I really hated the run and gun sections that were forced on the player. The game was supposed to be stealth and it doesn't even look like it was built for 3rd person shooting mechanics yet there I was running around with a very un-stealthy shotgun and automatic rifle.

It's also nearly impossible to hide during the run and gun sections due to the fact that the enemies always know where you are and will continuously spawn as you take a few of them out. Maybe the game requires a better player than I but I unable to finish the game because of this even though I had lost any speck of enthusiasm long before I quit.

Dream Trigger 3D. Never before have a I seen a game in which being right-handed is NECESSARY. Chances are there was a lefty flip, but by the time I'd thought of that I'd gotten a full refund and I didn't care anymore.
Coming in close second is Dragon Age II. It's too bad, really, I like the characters...It's just the fact that you have to essentially limit yourself to (in my character's case) using your 3 rationed skill points on only dexterity and cunning each time you level to even use anything. If you ever level.

...No idea. Nothing really coming to mind, then again I generally only buy games I know I'll like. Hmm, lemme double check mah steam library, there has to be something....

Wow, yea, nothing. I guess Mount and Blade: With Fire and Sword was pretty disappointing, but even then it wasn't bad, for an indie game at least. Yea, nothing on my 360, either.

Well yea, pretty decent year, if I say so myself.

Force Unleashed 2.

I finished it in three hours. The environments are uninspired. The boss fights are easy, but take forever. The game does not become increasingly difficult. The game just spawns more of the same unit each time you progress.

It is fucking awful. Not as fun as the first, next-to-no replay value, less expansive force powers.

Shit game. This is coming from someone who had a barrel of laughs with the original.
i'll agree to this. i loved the first one and the 2nd one was utter garbage compared to the first

I can't tell you how many times i have replayed the first game, especially the darth vader intro level..force pushing the bridge to make the wookies super jump into the abyss?

never gets old. never.

Damn that game.
aw you didn't like the first one?

that was by far the most fun i have ever had in an open world/sandbox game, and that's coming from someone who hates sandbox games...

what didn't you like about it.?

Mass effect , and i feel bad for not liking it , i really do . But it was just unapealing to me , and i love rpgs . Ironically im currently playing mass effect 2 and im loving it , and i usually hate 3rd person cover base shooters . Either im doing something wrong or i got cursed by a witch and got turned into a casual .

And i played DA2 , and alpha protocol and other mediocre games but i liked them more than ME . I feel bad.
Don't feel bad. ME1 had some serious problems. I LOVED ME, but after playing the gameplay of ME2 it would take a considerable amount of time to adjust to the boring gameplay in ME. You are however, doing yourself a terrible disservice story-wise if you are playing and enjoying ME2. Wrex for example, was such an awesome character.

for me either Dead Rising 2 or Mass Effect, I didn't really like both games, they weren't terrible, just not for me.
GOD, DEAD RISING 2.
My brother bought me that game, he was so excited! I can't bring myself to tell him I don't like it! Mostly I play it every once in a while so it'll show up on my recents and if he mentions it I might tell him a mission I did. It's not bad... it's just that I HATE THAT EVERYTHING IS TIMED GOD DAMMIT. I take my time with everything, I'm not good with being given seven things to do where like five of them will run out if I don't manage things well!

It really pissed me off. Otherwise I might have actually enjoyed it.

Metroid Other M.

Oh good god, the nightmares. I still remember the nightmares...

Another game I disliked (though nowhere near as much as Other M) is Mass Effect 2, which I found to be the least engaging game I've ever played. I quite certain it's the only game I've played that I didn't finish. (And now I won't ever, seeing as how I traded it in)

Also, I liked both Prototype and Medal of Honor. And found the latter to be particularly engaging.

Well , i did play through Mass Effect ( i always finish a game once i start it no matter how grueling i find it) , and followed the story ( except every boring ass characters back story , but Wrex was my favorite character , but ashley killed him that ***** , but i got her back, left her on the planet to die ,racist ***** ). And im following Mass effects 2 story , AND doing most of the character side quests , which i rarely do , so i think i got the story part down , unless i'm missing a sarcastic between the lines thing in your post about doing myself a terrible disservice story-wise if you are playing and enjoying ME2.

Breach. Me and a friend saw it on the store and bought it. All it is is laggy, Unbalanced and un interesting gameplay. finding a server is diffiuclt, and most are laggy/crash often. for 15 dollars, its not HORRIBLE, but you could do better for a under 20 dollar shooter(COD 4,COD5,Counter Strike:Source).

Sorry. I meant, it'd be a disservice to play the second one without getting through the first. There are so many moments that aren't as meaningful if you never played the first one. SOOOO many character cameos, like Bailey, Hacket, your old crew, hell even that one spy chick in Noveria. It's nice to see and talk to them again. Unlike in other games, where you talk with someone you're supposed to know and you play along, it's nice to know that you actually know them.
xD.

Also. GOD THATS TERRIBLE. I was soooo happy to see Wrex when I went to Tuchanka! I was sad however, that there was no epic bromantic hug between us, just some unsatisfying handshake.

I'd like to add FEAR 3, not because it was a bad game (mechanically it was sound) but because it jumped on the multiplayer bandwagon and sacrificed the length, story and balancing of its SP campaign which was the only reason anyone bought the first 2 (really great) games.

I honestly don't know why they put in all those multiplayer modes. The servers are ghost towns already.

I'd actually say FEAR 3 was possibly the most disappointing game I've ever bought.

The worst game I'm played this year was Homefront.

Average graphics, DREADFUL storyline, biased physics engive (such as when someone shot me from the other side of a solid steel wall), arse-backwards AI, barely-visible HUD. Just bad. Absolutely rotten to the core.

It's currently the only game I've ever traded in (I'm something of a collector).
Yeah Homefront was an utter piece of shit! It was a Call of Duty rip-off (hell, Call of Duty is terrible to begin with), and a bad one at that! I really wish I hadn't even bought it, but hey, hind sight is 20/20 right?

If you want me to rage in other places than work... MAGICKA... FUCKING HELL that game is relentless... not to mention the friendly fire, and the FIRE itself is annoying. PLus that long as "HEY YOUR DEAD, did you know your dead? Yeah your totally dead, did we mention your dead?" thing takes forever let me get back into the game already!

I was really excited about Homefront from what they were saying about it, but I have to agree with you, it was awful. In fact, it holds my record for fastest trade-in. Brink would have that if I didn't forget to trade it in the past 3 months. But I'm gonna pick Homefront because at least Brink looked decent.

Mafia 2, I kinda regret buying it in a steam sale. Felt like a movie and the open world had nowhere I wanted to go or anything to do really besides trudging along in the story. At least it was cheap.
