Mom got me the Thor game for Wii. I think I need to give her a quick tutorial on The Problem with Licensed Games.

The Prince Of Persia reboot.

Granted, the platforming's alright. But they recycle the same annoying QTE boss fight over and over, the characters are annoying and it's too bloody easy.

Luckily I manage to avoid terrible games for the most part. The worst game that I own is probably FF X-2. I asked someone to find me 1 & 2 and 4 & 5. They did so, for which I am infinitely grateful, but they also got X-2 by mistake.
See, I can't choose between X-2 and XIII for the worst game I own.

I know X-2 is pretty much fanservice, and the story is pretty idiotic, but the combat I found to be pretty good.

XIII, though... I am not sure I have played another game that the aesthetics have made no sense to me. The combat is literally the most boring thing I've seen from this series, and at least to me seems nonsensical (is the reason for the role switching ever mentioned, because I shouldn't have an entire host of abilities blocked off because I am not in healer mode). The less said about the story, the better.

Lord of the Rings: Conquest(360). I played the demo and thought it was the shit. Got the actual game and couldn't bring myself to do anything in it after the main story. Multi was broken and unbalanced, and the voice overs and controls felt like they were made for a mutant species of kangaroo.

Dick Tracy is probably the worst game in my collection. I say probably because there's a chance I blocked out anything worse.

Dragon age : Origins
Dusty, muddy, ugly world with slow dreadful combat and a story that quite frankly seems like generic fantasy with allot more words in it and quite dull at that too.

Actually I USED to own that game, gave it away to a friend of mine before I used the cover to swat a moth, twice.

That I currently own ... Final Fantasy XIII. I had a lot of old NES and SNES games that could probably top this, but my parents sold or gave those away the second I left for college.

I don't know, but what immediately came to mind is Hydrophobia. There's a difference between player fault and poor level design, and Hydrophobia crossed that line.
If I'm thinking of the same game, I remember looking at that over my boyfriend's shoulder and thinking "Oooooo, water pretty..." followed by "GAH! Water-manipulation-effect ugly!"

My boyfriend was mostly swearing.
Yeah, that was the draw. Pretty water. Unfortunately that was all the game had going for it...

Jim Sterling reviewed it well. And then got told by the devs that he "must have been playing it wrong" which is hilarious. Basically what the Amy devs did, if you heard about that.

Farcry 2. The game itself is alright, but it has a game-breaking glitch that still has never been patched that has made it impossible to complete.

Luckily I only paid like $4.00 for it, but it's still pretty annoying to get 20 hours into a game just to find that you can't complete it.

well I value my games depending on how much fun I have rather than its very quality, as I do tend to often find flawed gems
so, personally, worst one would be Alone in the Dark 5
as for the internet's consensus, it would have to be MW2 on PC

Sonic Unleashed. Undoubtedly.

See, Sonic Adventure 2's gamecube port was one of my favorite games for the console, so somebody had the bright idea of getting me the latest one for the holidays.

I gave it a shot of course, but... after the fifth werehog level in a row that goddamn thing was shoved so hard back into my shelf I swear the other game boxes were startled into an upright and orderly position out of fear.

There's a GBA game I have that I LOATHE. Bionicle: Matoran Adventures. I think my grandma got it for me as a gift, since I was into bionicle (a lego offshoot with masked alien things) at the time, and it was only about 20 bucks.

....I beat it in about 3 days, and it was TERRIBLE. The controls were awful and loose, the level design was meh, and the levels became REDICULOUSLY long by the end. And a lot of the balance was crap too. To kill certain enemies, you'd either need to camp out of their range, and try to hit them in their few vulnerable frames, or find this other guy in the level, find a power orb, and then CHARGE IT UP to do an area attack to kill them (which is also LITERALLY the only attack the secondary characters have). Not to mention levels where you HAD to go find hidden objects to open doors. >_<

Also, the unlockable characters were a JOKE. They are all literally the exact same character, but with different colors. They literally didn't even change the masks of the characters, and the masks are like...the most iconic thing about the bionicle characters! And yet, they just shamelessly copy pasted the same sprites, with the same "fire" mask, regardless of whether or not that character was a fire element guy or not. >_<

There was LITERALLY only one good thing about the game. The music was phenomenal. But aside from that, it was an atrocity of game design.

EDIT: Here is gameplay of the last level, just to illustrate my point:

shadow the hedgehog, The thing is I don't even remember buying it. I think it just appeared one day like hell shat. As to why I hate it its just too hard to explain (think metal bolts in your hip)
I kinda liked that game. I guess it's the idea of Sonic character shooting guns and riding a motorcycle to be ludicrously awesome.
I liked that game too.

YES, I know that the story was terrible, the dialogue was atrocious, and the supposed "maturity" was a pile of crap.

But the game was fun to play!

Running through levels was fast, and fun, and the guns made the combat simple and fast. I STILL use Shadow as my Go-to game whenever I'm in a depressive frustration phase. It combines my love of speedrunning with my desire to blow stuff up when I'm in a bad mood.

The worst game I've played enough of to be able to properly judge, excluding my small collection of awful DS games, is probably Blue Dragon. There was nothing enjoyable about it at all, except for the battle system. The story was mediocre as hell, the characters were just painful to watch and completely uninteresting, it patronizes you constantly, mainly by the characters clarifying things that were mentioned seconds ago in the most pisstaking way possible, the 'plot twist' was pathetic, despite being a big open world map with towns and stuff the game feels completely dead and empty.. eurgh, I could go on. How Mistwalker could go from making that to the beacon of awesomeness that is Lost Odyssey is beyond me.

Hornby Virtual Railway Simulator, god it was basic. It tried to be both layout design software and a game. It failed at both, fortunately you can just use XTrkCad for free now.

Ultraman for the SNES.

I still own it, despite the fact that it's the worst game I have ever played, bar none. The controls are awful, the graphics are awful, the sound is awful, and all in all it's one big confusing mess of shit that I hesitate to call a 'game'.

Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Mummy. Just by the name you can tell how much it blows.
The Awakened and vs Jack the Ripper were pretty good, but then maybe the later games are better.
