Eurgh, yes. I saw it on Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe, and it was only Brooker's snarky commentary and evident rage that stopped me from putting a heavy object through my TV screen.

I have problems meaningfully contributing threads like thsi because the truely terrible things squirted out of the bowels of pop culture mercifully leave my brain after a while.

Truthfully to qualify I'd imagine a show has to have been on TV for a while. I've never seen Super Sweet Sixteen but I'm guessing it's fairly new and as such might die horribly.

Also though when you consider people like Anna Nicole Smith have gotten talk shows and the like, it can be really hard to pick a worst.

You also have to wonder how to rate things like "Mystery Science Theater 3000" which intentionally picked drek, but made fun of it.

I'm also not sure how to rate genere programming that is hugely popular but only for a segement of the population. For example I loathe reality shows, but they have mass appeal that makes them successful. Really you can't knock things like this as being "bad" without making it about the people who consume them. Then it turns into more of a form of elitism than a real criticism of the media.

Things like "Swift Justice" didn't even make the half season mark despite heavy promotion (if I remember correctly) and the thing is they didn't have ANYONE to prop them up. To pick a worst show of the failed shows out there you'd wind up having to look back at stuff that only aired a couple of episodes.

If I truely had to pick something I'd go for the truely banal. Stuff like "Hammerman" which was a cartoon featuring MC Hammer (during his period of popularity) as a super hero with magic shoes. Or the "New Kids On The Block" animated series. Like video games, any cartoon show intended to sell products during a celebrity's five minutes of fame is usually astronomically bad.

Oh, and there was also a "Manudo" cartoon which had them teaming up with an intelligent Rubik's cube. :p

It shares first prize with the new UK version of the show! Its depressing that MTV can call this programme entertainment!

Reality programming, shows along the lines of One Tree Hill or 90210, FOX, Disney and Nick, actually at this point I'll say anything that isn't on Discovery, History, Spike, or Sci Fi. Deadliest Warrior earns bonus awesome points for subjects of its finale.

Rosie Live! Premiered in January this year I think. Only lasted one episode, and I watched it so I could tell people how bad it was the next day. Although it's not nearly as bad as J.V.I. late on Sunday nights. Religious based programming, the host got so deep inside his own ass I actually did start gagging. Unfortunately that show is still on the airwaves.

I think it's called something like Hole In the Wall. The entire show is about a person or team of people standing there, while a big wall with oddly shaped holes in it advances on them, and they have to contort themselves to fit through the holes so they're not pushed back into a pool of water. Utterly retarded. I think it was only on for a few weeks.

I would have to say any crime show that is not Law & Order. This includes all of the CSIs, NCIS (just what the hell does that stand for, anyway?), and Numb3rs (B3cUz 1337 Sp3aK 1s C00l.)

The Newport Harbor: The Real OC.

It's not real. Just because they chose the richest and most stuck up kids at my school doesn't make it real. Who ever decided to butcher my town and schools reputation with this bull shit needs to be hung!

ICarly, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Reno 911, Bernie Mac Show, Sarah Silverman Program, ugh... can't think of anymore right now. Although an honorable( or would it be dishonorable?) mention would be Everybody Loves Raymond, Peter Boyle saves that show from getting from getting my actual vote.

I dunno, I sorta liked that one.

My vote is for CERTAIN episodes of Drake and Josh. Basic summary goes;

1. Drake tells Josh overly complicated plan to do something "bad".

2. Josh eventually agrees reluctantly. Things don't go according to plan, boys must find way out of mess.

3. Megan does something absolutely horrid to the brothers, gets away with it (usually is rewarded for it) and parents blame brothers.

4. Moral is learned. Except for Megan, because girls can get away with anything and it's the best humor evar.

More than any other show, Tim and Eric's Awesome Show.

Reality TV seems like the best thing ever compared to that crap.
