I'd say it was a complete lack of integrity. Right and wrong are subjective. If someone does something they believe to be truly wrong then they are evil even if that something is refrain from killing. In better terms True Evil is the attribute the doer ascribes to his actions.

True Evil is when you take pleasure out of seeing any person suffer, not just someone you hate.

True evil... Depends.

No really.

Have a friend take a bite of unsweetened chocolate for the lulz.

Be nice to everyone, smile, and be upstanding member of society. Then in few years when everyone has lowered their guard- bomb a public building with people inside.

Put up a video on a forum site where you will kill a kitten if people keep watching and comment.

Are those evil acts? Can they be true evil?

*shrugs*

An act where you torture someone just for pleasure.

An act where you lied to all an waited for all to enact your plan to end lives. Much like a terrorist or spy.

An act of evil where you blame society, masking your innocence behind thoughtless people.

Albert Fish achieved it.

Babysitting a kid then whilst the parents are away rape the little girl and then cook her and eat her. Write an essay on exactly what it was like for the parents to read when they get home. Repeat.
I was going to say Albert Fish actually. That man was a monster. However, if you are referring to the murder of Grace Budd, then I think he said that he didn't rape her. Not that was any kind of comfort for her family, but he wrote it in a letter to the family, but of course he could be lying. I would say he deserved the death penalty.

I thought they found evidences of seminal fluid though?

I'd say true evil is causing people to suffer greatly, and not caring about it. On a personal note, anything bad act against children makes someone much worse in my opinion.

As has been hinted at - one mans evil could be another mans good.

True evil as such would have to be so consistently - that's what a lot of posters have been forgetting. Many link it to a single event or group of events, but that still lacks consistency. It has to be the acts that are so morally and ethically depraved that no *sane* person could justify them.

I don't believe that there is such thing as true evil. Evil would be to do something just to cause pain and well be evil, and I don't think that people work like that. Everything that has been done by a person, no matter how evil it may seem, has been justified as the right thing to do in that persons head, so that person is not evil, he is just acting in a way that our current society perceives as wrong. With ethical issues their is no such thing as black and white, if you look at any ethical issue close enough you will see it is all grey. No matter how evil a person may seem there is no "True Evil" in any sense.

Rape.

Murder can be justified. If I had a child, and someone molested/killed them, I would murder the guy. Legally wrong, but I would personally find that morally acceptable.

Rape is one of the few crimes with literally no justification.
How about raping a rapist? How is that not sweet justice?

Sorry, but if you can justify murder, you can justify rape.

Evil is, convincing the person you love to murder what is a threat to your relationship knowing that fail or win, they will go to jail and you wont have to actually break up with them.

Evil is Staying in a loveless relationship, because you cant be bothered to care for your children or work to pay your bills, so you let someone else do it because you cannot be bothered to disrupt your WoW time.

Evil is accusing the person you love of cheating on you with CJ from GTA: San Andreas for no other reason to sit back and enjoy their reaction as they try to make sense of that accusation.

Evil isnt how its portrayed in video games. What is considered evil is typically just being either disagreeable or douchey. Some of the most "good" chars in video game history are actually true evil.

Meh, under normal circumstances I could come up with better examples, but Ive got money to go spend and school to reregister for.

True evil is an act of evil with no real reason other then 'because I could'.

I want to know what the escapists idea on "True Evil" is.
Causing harm to others for the sake of personal gain, and choosing to do so after evaluation of all the various options and the consequences of that choice, because it's the more expedient way to do it.

"Evil. Because Killing is Easy."
